⚠️In order to develop a healthy functioning and strong “core” musculature you must address the main movements of the spine⚠️

and...

⚠️eventually, progress towards challenging those muscles through their full ranges of motion with an appropriate resistance⚠️

❗️You mean I should move my spine out of a neutral position?!?❗️

✅You must move out of a neutral spinal position to improve the muscles of the trunk and spine✅

🛑‼️Watch this video ‼️🛑
✅An Exercise to Strengthen Your Feet & Improve Foot Function✅

The Goal➡️ drive the rotation of your body through the movement of your foot and heel.

✅Hold on to something starting out so you can focus on the foot easier.
✅Bring one knee up so you can swing your leg around your body.

✅point your standing foot towards the center of your body. This will cause the arch of your foot to raise➡️the friction on the floor should prevent your foot from sliding & your body and leg will rotate towards the standing foot.

✅point your foot away from your center flattening the arch of your foot➡️the friction should prevent your foot from sliding & your body will rotate away from the standing foot.

✅Do 8-12 repetitions both directions.

⚠️There needs to be movement occurring at your standing knee and hip in response to the movement at your foot⚠️

⚠️Keep the standing foot and toes on the floor, you shouldn’t feel the inside or outside part of your feet leave the ground. Don’t force excessive motion to occur if you can control it well. More isn’t necessarily better⚠️

🔴2 Exercises you can do to reduce the symptoms of shoulder impingement.🔴

Shoulder impingement is a painful pathology many people deal with on a day to day basis. In some cases this condition is a result of physical changes to the structures of the shoulder and result in alterations in normal movements of the shoulder. Keep in mind, every case of shoulder impingement will be unique to the individual and will require different exercise prescriptions to truly improve upon or resolve the individuals issue.

In my experience there seems to be a common theme amongst cases with shoulder impingement syndrome. It appears that in many cases the issue is rooted in dysfunctional scapular movement in elevation. In other words, there is an issue with the tissues that raise the arm over head.

If you experience shoulder pain when raising your arm overhead or out to the side do these 2 exercises.

➡️Shoulder Shrug
➡️Full Shoulder Flexion

✅Only go where it’s comfortable (pain free).
✅Hold the end range for 6 seconds.
✅Do 6-12 repetitions, do not create any fatigue.

Can you do this Mindful Motion Training Challenge?

Altering your lifting tempos is a phenomenal variable to manipulate to create different types of exercise challenges.

This is a lower body circuit you can do with little to no equipment. The goal with this workout is to challenge your muscular control and create longer sets under tension.

Do 8 reps for each of these 6 exercises. Do all the exercises in a row and go through them 2-3 times. Rest between exercises for 60-90 seconds, or as needed.

Follow this tempo:
➡️6 seconds down.
➡️2 second pause.
➡️6 seconds up.
➡️2 second pause.

✅Make clean transitions in and ✅out of the end ranges.
✅Don’t throw yourself or bounce around.
✅Give maximal control on each repetition of every exercise.

✅Lower Body Circuit (2-3 sets):

➡️Sidelying Leg Raise: 8 reps.
➡️Hip Bridge: 8 reps.
➡️Single Leg Hip Bridge: 8 reps each.
➡️Lying Straight Leg Raise: 8 reps each.
➡️Squats (halfway up): 8 reps.
➡️Bulgarian Split Squat: 8 reps each.

Have you ever woken up with random stiffness or pain that’s so bad it impacts your mood and puts a burden on your entire day?

This morning I woke up with terrible shooting upper back pain for what seemed like no reason. In the past this type of problem could last days or even weeks before it would get better. Thankfully these days I have some knowledge on how to deal with these types of situations through strategically implementing exercise.
*
To resolve my upper back issue I literally spent 2-3 minutes doing one exercise. I was having pain extending my upper back and pain inhaling deeply. I wondered, what would happen if I could improve the function of my back muscles?
*
I designed an exercise for my back that would help me restore some strength without fatiguing anything with the hope that it would reduce the discomfort I was having.
*
I was pleasantly surprised when it worked!!
*
I am not suggesting that this exercise will resolve everyone’s pain or dysfunction. Each individuals situation is unique to them and what might work for me today may not work for them tomorrow.
*
What I am suggesting:
➡️Have a positive attitude.
➡️Be willing to go through some trial and error.
➡️Use an intelligent exercise approach.
➡️Find the right exercise and dosage.
And
➡️You can improve movement impairments, muscular dysfunctions, and reduce aches and pains.

What is a key factor for succeeding with your health and fitness goals?

Success with your Health and fitness goals requires serious commitment to the process of exercise, nutrition, and recovery.

Consistency and patience within the process are crucial factors for creating the changes you want to see.

Set yourself up for succsss by making sure your exercise isn’t violating your bodies needs and tolerances.
*
Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Work within what you can do well and slowly nudge the needle towards doing more.
*
If you go to hard to fast before learning the necessary skills or allowing your neuro-muscular system to adapt you will crash and burn and possibly get injured.
*
Nothing will slow your progress towards success more than an injury that sidelines you from being able to train.
*
Be patient in the process. Be consistent with your training, nutrition, and recovery and you will achieve great things.
