I am exploring A Course In Miracles as part of my spiritual practice. My main focus is on reading the bible and I am on day 133 of The Bible in a year.
I asked Google Gemini to tell me today's lesson in A Course In Miracles. Here goes:
Since today is March 10th, we are looking at Lesson 69. This is a powerful exercise for shifting your internal energy, especially if you're feeling the "weight" of external stresses or physical changes.
The Core Practice: Lesson 69
"My grievances hide the light of the world in me."
The "methodology" for this specific lesson is a 5-minute mental exercise to be done at least once today. Here is how to apply it:
Step-by-Step Meditation Guide
Close your eyes and acknowledge that you are not seeking something outside of yourself. You are trying to reach what is already there but is currently obscured.
Identify the "Curtain": Think of a current grievance (a person you’re annoyed with, a health frustration, or a worry). Mentally label it as a "veil" or a "cloud" that is standing between you and your peace.
The Affirmation: Say slowly to yourself:
"I would not look upon this grievance, for I want to see the light of the world that it is hiding."
The "Reach": In your mind’s eye, try to "step past" the grievance. Don't fight it or try to make it go away; simply look beyond it. Imagine you are reaching for a spark of light that is buried deep in your mind.
The Arrival: If you feel a sense of peace—even for a second—hold onto it. If your mind wanders back to your to-do list or your frustrations, gently repeat the affirmation and try again.
That was the lesson as described by AI.
Though I am a wellness expert with years of knowledge and experience behind me, I am feeling and seeing weight around my middle. I had just asked Google Gemini if HRT is proven to be effective in decreasing abdominal fat in menopausal women. I have been off HRT and there is now a national shortage.
Google Gemini remembered my previous question and applied A Course in Miracle's lesson of the day to it. I really like teaching the application and benefit of a practice and think this may be of of value to my lovely readers.
From Google Gemini:
Why this helps with "Middle Age Spread" and Stress
While this sounds purely spiritual, there is a practical psychological link:
Lowering Cortisol: Grievances and "holding onto" anger keep the body in a state of fight-or-flight, which spikes cortisol. As we discussed earlier, high cortisol is a primary driver of belly fat.
Mindful Choices: When you clear the "cloud" of a grievance, you are less likely to engage in emotional eating or "stress-reacting." You move from a place of reaction to a place of presence.
I wrote about this in my book, Inner Visions for the Outer You. Knowing this is the start. The daily application is the work. Let's not call it work, let's call it the gift.
Yours in love and light, Jamie Gallo

When you know God/Source is confirming you are on the right path....!!!!
My book, InnerVisions for the Outer You, was literally "downloaded" to me when I was pregnant with my son. I had this calling to teach others about the mind/body and spiritual connection and how we can get healthy by following simple habits and clearing our minds of obstacles to wellness.
The spirit component was the hardest for me to embrace as I did not feel worthy of putting myself out there in that way. I wasn't a preacher or expert on religion. I had studied exercise science, read books on mindset/psychology, and devoured spiritual books like Sidhartha, but never attended church on a regular basis or any other house of worship.
What I had never dove into was the Holy Bible. I read bits and pieces but did not know scripture.
In my pursuit of following my purpose, which is to help others and bring light to their life, I have embarked on the Bible in a Year. I was praying for clarity last night and decided to find scripture that reflected what I had written about in my book.
The first thing I write is John 14:27. This was in reference to my chapter on fear. This was at 10pm. By 4am, my friend John Hickey sent me the same Scripture. Out of all the scriptures in the bible, I get this one only hours later!!!
God, thank you for the confirmation that I am on the right path. I love you!
Nightly Ritual for Clarity.
I am in a time of my life where many things are changing. I pray and listen my intuition, yet I wanted to see what Chat GPT would offer me. Here it is.
A 5-minute nightly practice to invite divine clarity and peace about your next steps.
You can use it before bed for one week, noticing what emotions or insights emerge over time.
1. Light and Invite (1 minute)
Light a candle and say softly: “God, thank You for guiding me with peace and wisdom.
Help me see clearly what is truly for me.” Take one slow, deep breath — in through
the nose, out through the mouth.
2. Listen (2 minutes)
Close your eyes and ask in your heart: “How do You want me to feel about this
move?” Notice sensations: warmth, calm, unease, restlessness, or lightness. Even
silence means clarity is forming.
3. Note What Arises (1 minute)
Write one or two words or feelings that came up — for example: “peaceful,” “not yet,”
“excited,” “uncertain but hopeful.”
4. Release and Rest (1 minute)
Blow out the candle and say: “I trust that truth will become clearer each day. I rest in
Your timing.” Then go to sleep peacefully, letting your spirit integrate what you felt.
■ After a week, reread your notes. Notice which emotions appear most often —
peace, excitement, or hesitation. That pattern often reveals the guidance you’re seeking.
Just a little note to share what I do when I am off my routine. First, I give myself grace. I try to get my protein, join a class or gym, and take some time in the morning to connect to God. I do tend to not sleep enough. I've been slowing down quite a bit as I shift through different stages of my life.
I have no idea where I will end up after losing our home. I have one child on the East Coast and one child on the West Coast. I am at an age where if I want to travel, I should. I want to continue to help people the best I can and connect people as well. It would be awesome to create wellness/travel retreats and start my youtube channel again. For now, I am helping my folks, taking a lot of quiet time, and letting myself just be.
Having no permanent home is interesting. It's freeing and scary at the same time. xo

Wellness involves our emotional well-being and not just our physical bodies. This video is one of the best I’ve watched.
True intimacy is very healing. If one is repeating patterns developed from neglect or abuse, it can create pain and numbness that prevents authenticity and vulnerability.
I am a reformed people pleaser. I also had a lot of insecurities. My growth has involved understanding that I am God’s child and powerful. When I feel I’m with someone who’s in a low vibrational, negative energy, I do my best to protect myself. I try to stay in the 5 th dimension, that’s a term I heard yesterday. 😀
That means I try not to be reactive. As an empath, I feel deeply. I go for a walk. I breathe. I listen to music. And I also say a little prayer that the reactive, upset, party, finds peace.
Just my thoughts for this day! ❤️🙏🏼

My daughter showed me this and said it is a reminder of how she is feeling as a Freshman at NYU. I wanted to share this because it may switch your mindset from overwhelm to gratitude.
It warmed my heart to see that she is feeling this way. My father is overwhelmed by his condition. At 89, frail, no strength, and dependent, he does not recognize himself. I can not expect him to have the attitude my daughter has at 18. He certainly has been fighting for a long time.
I have been cleaning and working physically today, and find myself getting stiff more easily than I did as a young woman. I am going to walk, stretch, and pray. It is a recipe to open the heart. I am also going to read this often and thank our Lord for the gift of life. Love to you, beautiful ones.

Walking with Reina in NY. Thought this may be interesting...
3 weeks ago, my daughter did not want to walk from Union Square to Soho. It's 20 minutes. She wanted to Uber, subway, bike... anything else.
Last night we ate dinner and she said, "Let's go get Frozen Yogurt in SoHo at Mimi's." It was not an issue to walk and talk on a beautiful September evening. She welcomed it! We did 2 additional miles. Her body has adapted to 10k steps a day since she must walk as a city resident.
I am working with my bedridden 89 year old dad. When his attitude is good, we make progress. Control the mind and work the body when it is able. It is the recipe for longevity. Wishing you so much love, Jamie

Good morning, angels! First, I wanted to recommend Hoka sneakers for anyone in need of a good amount of support. They are pricey, but I think they are worth it.
I used to buy whatever I could find at Marshall's while I spent the money on my children's trendy shoes. I had no foot problems.
Well, I ended up at the physical therapist with foot and ankle issues, and was in Encino at the therapist's office when my hometown was on fire. With no ability to go from the Valley to the Palisades, I did not retrieve anything. That certainly was "penny- wise and pound -foolish".
I wore these in NYC last week and they were fabulous! (This picture is when I took them out of the box, brand new. I don't put dirty shoes on a counter!)
On a different note, I went to the gym yesterday after 8 days with a virus. I kept the workout focused on muscle building with low overall metabolic output. That means that I focused on machines more than my favorite exercises for effectiveness, like walking lunges and squats.
Being in bed does a number on strength. I am witnessing this daily with my father. It is unbelievable to see the body unable to do much in such a short time.
I am at the age where muscle maintenance is crucial to long -term health. Please, please, please.....take active steps to keep yourself moving.
I have a virus and am in bed. It’s interesting how pushing oneself and travel can knock you out.
My daughter caught it first. She’s 18 and was down for 1 day. I’m on day 4, had a fever, have a viral rash, congestion, fatigue…you get it.
It’s a reminder that we are human, not robots. We can’t do it all. I’m sequestered in a bedroom at my mom and dad’s house as I was here to help my bedridden dad get some movement.
Of course, priority number 1 is to keep my germs away from them. I hear Covid is still around but my tests are all expired. If I have that, it’s my 3 rd time.
It’s back to N95 masks if I dare embark to kitchen. The caffeine headache was the worst so I made 1 cup of coffee.
Rest when you feel you need it. Love and blessings to all of you.
Wishing everyone a beautiful and blessed Friday. Please drink your water and thank God for allowing you to have another day. Sending you love. Jamie
