My top 10 WRONGs of this list.
Letās start off with the fact that 3 of my favorite emcees of all time are not even in their top 50 NY??? This is a bad start.
1) AZ was the guy who made me fall in love with multi syllabic rhyming and is a part of multiple classic albums.
2) Masta Ace has been a consistent force in Hip Hop since 1988 and has been releasing incredible albums all the way to current day.
3) Pharoahe Monch literally changed the way people rhyme like 3 times and has delivered some of the most mind bending verses we ever heard.
4) Kool G Rap who is in most lyricists top 5, at worst top 10, comes in at 30? 30?? For my money he can switch places with 50 at #6 spot.
5) If we are being honest, DMC had more quotable lines than Run.
6) Deck instead of Ja Rule.
7) Grandmaster Caz instead of Jim Jones.
8) Cam instead of Pop Smoke.
9) Nikki must be just click bait cuz you canāt tell me she raps better than KRS, Method Man, Big Lā¦
10) Styles P can NOT be 46. This guy doesnāt have wack verses, ever.
And this is just off the top of the dome!
Okayā¦letās hear it. Whatās got you annoyed or heated from this. Go!!

ONE spot opened up! I will delete this post once the spot is filled.
Saturday 5pm. Join me and 5 other talented emcees for this special opportunity to have your bars broken down, highlighted and discussed. Workshops normally run 2.5 hours.
There is a certain level of lyricism for this particular workshop, so if you are up there, send me a DM with a song and I will consider.
Oh and more good news, it is normally $99, tomorrow itās only $47.

You missed it! My 20 minute breakdown comparing and contrasting the two epic verses on Lifes a Bitch is now on YouTube. If you love rhyme breakdowns, this is the one. (YT: Rhymecology Nas AZ)

Which aged better?
Itās actually pretty shocking how much the production jumped from 89 to 91. Many of the bets produced songs on any NWA. Dre, Ren, Eazy are all on EFIL4ZZAGIN. There are some timeless tracks like Always into Something, Days of Wayback, Appetite for Destructionā¦but if we are talking about aging better, it canāt compare. The Fine Em F āem and Flee and K**l a Ho**er donāt quite fly now, the skits which were pretty funny at the timeā¦havenāt stood the test IMHO.
Straight outta Compton changed rap and it changed the world. The first three tracks held a magnifying glass up to Compton that allowed suburban folks to see in. Ice Cube was an absolute monster on every verse. Even the ādance songsā were a good balance of street and dance that can still be enjoyed decently enough today.
Two completely different albums, each with its own flavorā¦but oneās shock value has worn off and one has prime Cubeā¦
I got SOCā¦. You?
