Steven Kwan put on a defensive clinic in ALCS Game 5 — then watched his team lose anyway.

The 4-time Gold Glover threw out Taylor Walls at the plate in the 4th to save a run. Late in the game, he went up to the center-field wall and robbed Victor Mesa Jr. of extra bases. At the plate, he had 2 of Cleveland's 5 hits — and scored the Guardians' ONLY run.

MLB's own post said it best: "DON'T RUN ON STEVEN KWAN!"

And still: Rays 3, Guardians 1. Cleveland now has to win TWO straight in Tampa — and no Cleveland team has ever won an ALCS when trailing 3-2.

ONE WIN AWAY. Rays take Game 5 in Cleveland, 3-1!

Drew Rasmussen shoved — 7 innings, 1 run, 6 K. Tampa Bay scored a run in each of the first three innings, then Tyler Wells struck out Jose Ramirez in the 8th and Bryan Baker closed the 9th. Rays lead the ALCS 3-2.

Cleveland had the series in its hands after Game 3. Tampa Bay answered with two straight wins on the road, and now the series goes back to Florida.

Game 6 is Monday at the Trop. Do the Rays finish the job and meet Milwaukee in the World Series, or do the Guardians force a Game 7? Drop your take below.

WORST CONTRACT EVER? 😤

Baseballer dropped this an hour ago and the thread is already arguing: is Anthony Rendon's $245 MILLION deal with the Angels the worst contract in sports history?

In December 2019, the Angels signed Rendon to a 7-year, $245 million deal after he helped the Nationals win the World Series — .319, 44 homers, 126 RBIs, an All-Star season.

Here's what the Angels got for their money: 257 games out of a possible 1,032. A .242 average. 22 home runs. 125 RBIs. Never more than 58 games in a single season. Zero games in 2025 after hip surgery — and zero in 2026, after the Angels bought out the deal on Dec 30, 2025. He was still owed $38.6 million for 2026, now deferred over 3-5 years.

Do the math: $953,307 per game played. $11.14 MILLION per home run. And the Angels never reached the postseason once during the deal — they haven't been back since 2014, the longest active drought in baseball.

Saturday night in Cleveland, Tampa Bay answered. Caminero turned on a 98-mph fastball for the go-ahead double in the 6th. Díaz sealed it with a 2-run homer in the 9th. Rays 7, Guardians 3. Series tied 2-2.

Now it is a best of three. Game 5 is TODAY at Progressive Field: Drew Rasmussen (1-0, 1.29 ERA this postseason) vs Parker Messick (0-2, 3.09 ERA). Winner takes a 3-2 lead with two chances to close it out.

YANDY DIAZ SEALS GAME 4. 💣

One out in the ninth. One man on. Yandy Diaz went the other way — a two-run homer that barely cleared the right-field wall, 101 MPH off the bat, 349 feet. Rays 7, Guardians 3. Series tied 2-2.

And it was a full team statement: Jonathan Aranda with three hits, Junior Caminero with the go-ahead double in the sixth, Nick Martinez with five and a third innings of one-run ball.

After 1 RBI in the first three games of the ALCS, Yandy Díaz, Jonathan Aranda and Junior Caminero went 6-for-14 with 5 RBI in Game 4.

Aranda had 3 hits and drove in 2. Caminero's 6th-inning double put Tampa Bay ahead for good. Díaz's 2-run homer in the 9th put it away. Final: Rays 7, Guardians 3. Series tied 2-2. Game 6 in Tampa is now guaranteed.

Game 5 is Sunday in Cleveland — Parker Messick starts for the Guardians, Tampa Bay hasn't named a starter yet.

In 2015, the Brewers sold 1,000 "Timeless Tickets" for $1,000 each — a 1-pound personalized brass ticket, good for ANY future home game. Even a World Series Game 7. Valid through 2050.

One of those buyers was Nate Holzman, a Brewers fan now living in Los Angeles. He thinks he bought his the first day they went on sale — and now he's trying to cash it in for a 2026 World Series seat.

With 100-level seats going for around $3,800 and upper-deck seats around $1,800, that $1,000 he put down in 2015 might be the greatest sports purchase ever made.

The Brewers confirmed to WISN they're honoring Timeless Ticket redemptions — Holzman files his form by Saturday and finds out Monday which game and seat he gets.

"If they can redeem this ticket for me and get me to the game as I've pictured in my mind for the last 12 years, it would be the best thing ever."

ZERO HRs ALL YEAR. 3 IN ONE NIGHT. 😤

Blake Snell hadn't allowed a SINGLE home run all season — 10 starts, 46 1/3 innings, zero. Then NLCS Game 3 happened.

First pitch of the game: Jackson Chourio launched it 391 feet. Then Snell locked in — 14 straight retired, 9 strikeouts. Then the 7th: walk, Bauers' 11-pitch 2-run homer, Mitchell back-to-back on his very last pitch. Three homers in one night. Final line: 6.0 IP, 4 ER, 9 K, 101 pitches. Dodgers lost 6-2, down 0-3.

He's only the second pitcher EVER to allow a homer on the first AND last pitch of a postseason start. The other? John Smoltz, Game 3 of the 1991 NLCS.

Snell owned it after: "Three home runs in a game, and I didn't give up one the whole year. To have three in a game is pretty frustrating." And on Bauers: "This is the best I've ever seen him play."

The Brewers went on to sweep the series 4-0.

The Guardians' pitching staff just set an MLB record: 102 strikeouts through 8 postseason games. The old mark was 100, shared by the 2013 Tigers and 2022 Astros.

The engine: Gavin Williams. Nine Ks over 5 innings in ALCS Game 3, and he leads ALL postseason pitchers with 33 Ks in 16 2/3 innings. Through his first 5 career postseason starts he has 44 Ks — only Sandy Koufax (48) and Bob Gibson (47) ever had more. Cleveland's staff combined on a three-hitter in Game 3. Guardians lead the ALCS 2-1. Game 4 is TONIGHT in Cleveland.
