The Summer Gathering (Fire) is centered on our Martial Skill — the combative side of our studies. This is the season where we sharpen instinct, timing, pressure, adaptability, and functional application through honest martial training.

We’ll be exploring material influenced by systems such as Mok Gar, Corto Mano, Filipino Martial Arts, Iron Palm, Capoeira, and more — all through the lens of preserving culture, simplicity, and effectiveness.

A special thank you to JAM – Joining All Movement for hosting this year’s Gathering. JAM is an incredible facility where martial artists, movement specialists, and stunt performers train at a high level, and we are extremely fortunate that Sijo Douglas Wong and Grandmaster Carrie Wong have opened their beautiful space to the Whipping Willow Association. Both Sijo Douglas Wong and Grandmaster Carrie Wong also serve as board members of the WWA, and we deeply appreciate their continued support, guidance, and dedication to preserving the martial traditions and community we represent.

With the guidance of the Sijo and the Sifu—mentors of the Whipping Willow Association—over a century of combined experience, we’ve been given permission to share this. We introduce Temple Treasures, honoring the body as a temple.

Our products follow Restore, Recover, and Circulate—principles in Traditional Chinese Medicine—rooted in martial traditions.

As First, our Jade Dragon Jao, known to many as Dit Da Jao, inspired by Shaolin Kung Fu and Taoist tradition. Customers will notice a Jade wax seal—an airtight seal nodding to tradition and authenticity.

As we welcome the season of circulation and growth, this gathering focuses on breath, physical alignment, and movement to support vitality and health.
