I was on a coaching call with a client today and she mentioned that she didn’t totally “believe” that she could actually achieve a great weight loss transformation. That because she kept screwing up she felt it was too hard for her to achieve it.⁣

Here was my reply, you might need to hear this too:⁣
“Ok. That’s fine for now. Do you believe that today you could make it to the gym for your workout that we planned?” (“Yes” she said) ⁣

“Do you believe that today you could eat the planned meals I prepared for you?” (Again, “Yes”)⁣

“Then that’s all you need. Just execute on that today, no further belief is needed then that.” 🙌🏼👏🏼 ⁣

This journey is much easier with the right mentoring and mindset.⁣

I want you to know I’m here for you when you’re ready. When you’re ready to conquer your weight and lifestyle once and for all, just let me know. I’ve walked in your shoes, I’ve conquered that mountain and I couldn’t be more passionate about helping you in your journey.

So back to what I was saying... Here’s the real, real. Years ago I “figured out” obesity. I conquered it. Not just for myself but for anyone currently in it. I did that through thousands of hours, years of work on myself, on others, getting certified in many things, mentoring, learning. I’ve helped people all over the world conquer it. Don’t believe me?

What you want and what you need might be two different things though.

Can we get real for a second?

You don’t need a wrap, a tea, a pill or surgery. You don’t. And even if surgery is your solution you’ll still need what I’ve learned.

What I offer is a way out from this obsessive relationship with food. I’ll be your tour guide, your yoda, your mentor. I’ll hold your hand but you’ve got to take the journey.

What I can promise is that the end result is a mind, body, sprit that is so far elevated from anything you’ve ever experienced that you can only say “I’ve completely transformed”. Want that?

Ever feel stuck? Like you’re in a hamster wheel that you can’t possibly get off of?

It’s all in your head. Literally. You can do whatever you want with your life. In obesity coaching I get to talk with a lot of people, hear their stories and their excuses. I’ve noticed that most people don’t even consider rapidly changing the trajectory of their life because they get so overwhelmed with “what” or “how”, that they get intimidated.

What if today, just today you decided to behave just like the ultimate version of you would?

Talk like her/him, walk like her/him, behave, eat, compose yourself like her/him just for today.

Have fun with it. Who knows, you may like living at a higher level and decide to keep “you” going.

The power to make a true transformation lies in your ability to make a true decision. To cut off any other option but to succeed and to abandon the behaviors that won’t lead to the next version of yourself.⁣⁣

To go beyond the story you believe about who you are or what you’re capable of.⁣

Do you find yourself the victim often? Chances are that’s YOUR story and if you look for ways you’re victimized you’ll find them everywhere.⁣

Do you constantly sabotage your weight loss journey? That’s because your story is that you’ll never achieve that success and guess what, you’ll do anything (even constantly giving into the pizza) to prove your story right!⁣

It’s not the food industry, it’s not your job, it’s not your lack of time, it’s not your lack of money. It’s you, pulling yourself back into your past that you’re desperately clinging onto because you’re scared to death of the future, the unknown.⁣

The future is only unknown to you because you haven’t allowed yourself to visualize it yet. You’re so busy proving your fears and past stories correct that you’ve failed to even know what the next version of you looks like.⁣

No wonder you don’t go for that promotion or workout consistently, or eat the way you should, or fully get vulnerable to that relationship, you don’t have a vision for where that’ll lead.⁣

No one willingly leaves the light for darkness unless they believe that darkness will lead to even brighter light beyond it. (Ponder that for a second)⁣

Create a vision for what the next version of yourself looks like that is so clear that it outshines your past, that it dwarfs the old fears. If you’re not much more excited about where you’re going than staying in the past then your vision isn’t clear enough or big enough. Start there. As if David already existed and simply needed to be slowly uncovered. The parts that weren’t David simply needed to be weeded out and removed until he was fully revealed.⁣⁣

One of the first tasks I have a new weight loss client do when they come to me is to create a very clear vision for their future, for what we’re working toward.⁣⁣

Not just their waist size either, their entire life.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s common though for people to see where they are and where they want to be and not see a way to fit the changes into their already complicated, busy, routine filled life.⁣⁣

How do you keep up this routine that you feel pulled to but also create this new life you say you desire?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You don’t try to make it all “fit”, you won’t find the time, money, energy, will power, (all the excuses you used before).⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You need to Michelangelo your life and start removing aspects of your life that aren’t the future you.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove the wine at night.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove your laziness.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove the nasty habit of hitting the snooze button.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove the relationships that don’t propel you forward.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove your self-doubt.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remove your negativity.⁣

Remove the junk food.⁣
⁣⁣
The next version of YOU is already in there, you’ve just been holding you back. Chip away at everything that’s NOT your next version and expose what you desire.⁣

I want you to know that in-between these photos was many (for real) MANY nights of binge eating, over drinking and negative thinking.⁣

Why the EFF do we look at someone’s before and after on social media and assume that the journey to get there was easier for them than it will be for us?! Like their journey wasn’t a war-torn, hellish one like ours is?! Why do we look at the “after” photo and assume that life is so easy now?⁣

LIFE isn’t easy, ever, regardless of your waist size.⁣

This “transformation” journey you’re on, the journey I coach people all over the world, isn’t a journey of making their waist smaller (that’s just a side effect). The REAL journey is a transformation of our mind, our thoughts, our habits, our relationship with food and ourself.⁣

It’s the foundation we build to become strong enough to handle life differently going forward.⁣

Because LIFE will always happen. There will always be struggle.⁣

The foundation I coach people on is so that when LIFE happens, they are better prepared to handle it instead of turning to over eating and negative thinking like I used to.⁣

So before you look at a AFTER photo thinking their life must be “perfect” just know, “perfect” doesn’t exist, perfect is a fantasy and before you know it, LIFE will happen to you and you’ll think your life is especially broken but trust me, you’re right on track with the rest of us.⁣

My mission is to help TRANSFORM you now so that when LIFE happens you are dealing with it through a completely new set of visions, values and behaviors than you would have before. That’s why I’m on this earth today.⁣

At a point in life that’s not perfect.⁣

Showing you that although times will get tough, we don’t have to be a slave to our old ways of coping.

We’re married to our bad habits, our negative mindsets, the job we hate, we stay loyal to sh*t that doesn’t serve us but at the same time we ignore the the things that could lead us down the path we say we desire.⁣

Are you married to that 800 calorie coffee every morning?⁣

Are you married to the couch, to a habit of laziness, to the television?⁣

What would happen if you demanded more from yourself?⁣

What would happen if you divorced those things that held you back and created relationships with the things that would propel you forward? ⁣

My first workout was 7 minutes long, but one of the most important 7 min of my life.⁣

When I had my “Aha” moment I knew I needed to start getting exercise but didn’t know where to start.⁣

Despite crippling fear of judgement and failure I walked into a 24 Hr Fitness in Lancaster, CA and hopped on an elliptical machine.⁣

7 minutes later I was out of breathe with burning lungs, tired legs, and a sweaty brow but one thing was critical.⁣

An incredible sense of accomplishment.⁣

I knew, in my soul that if I just continued to invest into effort I could create whatever physique I wanted.⁣

I lost 100 lbs that year and it started with 7 minutes….⁣

Not a bodybuilder workout.⁣

Not an hour of cardio.⁣

Not skinny tea. ⁣

I couldn’t afford supplements.⁣

No trainer, no coach, no mentor (although I highly recommend it!)⁣

No wraps, creams, pills or fasting.⁣

I didn’t go keto, grass fed, organic or vegan.⁣

Here’s what I DID do…⁣

I was honest with myself, where I was at, and how I got there.⁣

I removed sugary drinks, cut my portions in half, and did 7-minutes of cardio to start.⁣

That led to results.⁣

I built upon that.⁣

7min turned to 9min which turned to 15, then 20, then 30min.⁣

I learned what proper portion sizes were slowly but surely.⁣

I learned my binge eating triggers and started to combat them.⁣

I did the work, slowly, painfully, consistently, day in and day out (that thing you’ve been avoiding).⁣

It led to this photo that you see here. Me at the start, and me yesterday after 13 years of experience, 13 years of failures, 13 years of trying, 13 years of effort, 13 years of striving to climb to the top of my my obesity mountain and conquer it.⁣

The lesson here for you is this: you’ve been waiting to take action because you think it’s a huge monumental task. When really it’s just 7-minutes of effort to change your life, the rest will come later.
