We’ll be closed this Monday for , but the long weekend is the perfect excuse for one last summer adventure. Here are a few family-friendly ways to make the most of an extra day in LA:⁣

⭐️ Go on a Hollywood Sign hunt and see how many different places you can spot it from.
🚘 Take a golden hour drive on Mulholland and let everyone contribute one song to the playlist.
🌊 Enjoy breakfast at the beach complete with pastries, pajamas and sand.
🚣‍♀️ Walk the Venice Canals and invent backstories for the houses.
🌴 Walk around and look for the best palm tree in Beverly Hills.
📍 Pick a neighborhood you never visit and spend a couple hours exploring, snacking and seeing what you find.

🧭 🌳 This month, we're putting on our explorer hats and are heading on an expedition through the Tropical Forests, also known as . We'll explore the tropical forests of South America, home to incredible animals, colorful plants and the giant Kapok Tree.⁣

Recently, Coral Class explored the beauty of ocean life through a collaborative “Coral Forest” art experience, inspired by their marine life studies. Using colorful, textured materials, the children worked together to create a vibrant underwater world while deepening their connection to ocean habitats.

⁣What the children explored:
✨ Creating coral shapes using dried pasta, arranging and designing their own underwater structures.⁣
✨ Painting and transforming materials to reflect the bright colors and textures of real coral reefs.⁣
✨ Working together to build a shared art piece, encouraging collaboration and teamwork.⁣
✨ Connecting their creations to what they’ve learned about ocean life and marine habitats.⁣

Through this hands-on experience, the children expressed creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and building an understanding of the natural world. How do you explore art and nature with your little one? 🐠
