VICE-World Champion!! Following their victory at the 2023 World Team Championship, German men’s 3×3 basketball has now achieved another outstanding success at the World Cup in Poland. After finishing fourth last year, the German team took home the silver medal this time. In the semifinals, the German players defeated France 19–18, but lost to Latvia 15–20 in the final. Respect, respect!

Rio, Havana, Dakar, Tokyo, LA, Montevideo, Melbourne
By far my most memorable weeks in 2025 were in Annan and Beirut, along with trips to Australia, Portugal, and California. What will stick with me for the rest of my life? Different ways of life, meeting wonderful people, delicious food, and teaching our beloved sport—which, after all, is the same everywhere. You’ve got to get the ball in the hoop, and you can only do that as a team.

Today, May 8th, we commemorate the Day of Liberation from N**i tyranny. We express our gratitude to the Allied forces and remember with deep thankfulness the millions of victims who suffered and lost their lives. Their memory reminds us of our responsibility to ensure that such atrocities never happen again.
When we consider that Russians and Ukrainians fought side by side at that time, the present becomes even more painful. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to peace, freedom, and human dignity.

This is something unique to Qatar: a one day public holiday dedicated to sports on February 10th, with an incredible number of free events throughout the country. I can immediately think of a few countries where this would also be a good idea... check the ranking of people living with obesity...
