Let's all welcome our new owners, Anissy & Rainer from Wheaton, IL to the We Rock family!! 🤟🏼🎉

Hello, we are Anissy and Rainer, originally from South Africa. We have been married for 13 years and enjoy spending time outdoors, scuba diving, and are passionate about rugby and Formula One racing. In 2013, we moved to the United States and lived in Chicago for a couple of years before settling in Wheaton IL. I am the Training Director for a health and wellness company and Rainer, with his natural ability to connect with people, has built a successful career in sales.

We have a beautiful, almost 6-year-old son, Sebastian and a Labrador/Dachshund mix called Enzo. Sebastian was born prematurely, weighing just 2lbs, 12oz and spent 73 days in the NICU. Despite all the unexpected challenges we have faced over the years, we have been fortunate to have had a strong support system and people to guide us along the way to ensure Sebastian has gotten and continues to get, everything he needs to thrive.

We recently visited a We Rock the Spectrum gym and realized that we desperately wanted to bring this to our community. We wanted a place not only for the kids, but also a place where parents can find support, resources, and a sense of community with others on a similar journey. We are so excited to embark on this new journey and look forward to getting to know all the wonderful WRTS owners.

🌟 Tuesday Tip: Daylight Savings Time ⏰

Daylight Savings can be tough on little ones—especially those who thrive on routine! To make the transition smoother:

✅ Start adjusting bedtime now – Move bedtime earlier by 10-15 minutes each night
✅ Keep the bedtime routine consistent – Familiar steps like a warm bath, reading, or calming music help signal that it’s time to sleep
✅ Get plenty of daylight exposure – Natural light during the day helps regulate the body’s internal clock
✅ Be patient – It may take a few days for kids to fully adjust, and that’s okay!

A little planning can make a big difference in helping kids (and parents!) feel more rested and ready to take on the day. 💙☀️
