Francesca's road to the Grand to Grand

Reopening this page.... when I finally got the courage to go after this in 2017 I ended up that year in the hospital from a mild stroke from stress. Was worked into the ground! And it almost cost me my life! Hard to call it mild when I still have issues from it but I know it could have been WAY worse! so I am grateful that I was told what my symptoms were and went straight to the hospital. So I don't complain about the issues I have from it because I know how fortunate I am and tho felt I had lost everything, and I guess if you look at it from a worldly perspective I definitely did, But I am still here stronger for it. Over the past 3 years I have run here and there cuz I just love to run and this streets be calling me but I felt like I missed my window and constantly worried about my health. Been in a box with no windows or doors waiting for something or someone to pull me out of it till I found myself alone. I have accepted I have to start over from scratch, a clean slate and now I am back running for me, for freedom, for passion, and no longer caring if I will reach my goal in a two year time just running now to reach it cuz you never know what tomorrow will bring and, as we learned this year, if tomorrow will ever come. ♥️ this is how I spent my Christmas yesterday, no friends no family just me, my camel pack, my lucky weight gloves (don't judge) and the road. Did my one of my favorite runs to Kenneth Hahn when you get to the top the City View Trial
