Cam Hart took an important step forward in his second NFL season.

While he wasn't a full-time starter for the Chargers, the young cornerback continued to earn opportunities and made the most of them throughout the year.

His production included:

1 interception
💛 11 passes defended (2nd on team)
48 tackles (37 solo)
💛 1 QB hit

Hart appeared in 16 games and started six of them, yet still finished second on the team in passes defended.

The Chargers relied on him in a rotational role throughout the season, and his development was one of the encouraging signs for a team that returned to the playoffs.

With another year of experience under his belt, Hart appears positioned to compete for an even larger role in the secondary heading into 2026.

Keaton Mitchell and Omarion Hampton are the RB tandem powering up the Chargers, as offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel constructs a diverse backfield to fuel his explosive outside zone run scheme. 👥⚡

2026 might finally be the year Justin Herbert earns his first All-Pro selection 🔥

Herbert’s 2025 season somehow flew under the radar despite the circumstances he was dealing with. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback still finished top 10 in overall passing grade among qualified quarterbacks — all while operating behind the league’s lowest-graded offensive line and throwing to a receiving corps that ranked just 20th in receiving grade.

For the first time in a long time, Herbert is entering a season with legitimate structural support around him.

The Chargers return two Pro Bowl-caliber tackles in Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, but the biggest change may be on the sideline as Mike McDaniel, one of football’s brightest offensive minds, will be the new OC.

And honestly, Herbert feels like the perfect quarterback for that kind of offense.

If Herbert takes another leap under McDaniel while the Chargers start winning at a higher level, 2026 could finally become the year the rest of the league fully recognizes just how elite he truly is ⭐️

Finding anyone else at the top of this list is an absolute treasure hunt. LaDainian Tomlinson’s legendary 243-yard masterpiece anchors a legacy of backfield dominance that Chargers fans will likely never see replicated.⚡️👑

Derwin James cashes in again 💰

The Chargers lock up their defensive leader with another record-setting deal, making him the league’s highest-paid safety once more.

05/26/2026

Joe Hortiz made it clear, keeping Derwin James in Los Angeles is a high priority.

Derwin is entering the final year of his deal, but the Los Angeles Chargers know what he means beyond the stat sheet. He’s a five-time Pro Bowler, a tone-setter on defense, and one of the strongest leaders in the entire building.

Hortiz praised his talent, leadership, energy, and character, saying Derwin is one of the best he’s ever been around. For a Chargers team trying to build something lasting around Justin Herbert, keeping No. 3 as a lifetime Charger feels like the obvious move.

05/26/2026

Joe Hortiz made it abundantly clear that securing a long-term extension for Derwin James is an absolute priority for the franchise.

The front office heavily praised the star safety's elite talent and unique locker room leadership, expressing a strong desire to keep him anchoring the defense for the remainder of his career.

The front office systematically stripped down the passing game in Southern California.

They methodically replaced aging offensive focal points with elite young talent.

Management prioritized raw speed and pristine route running over the last few seasons.

They built a high-powered nucleus tailored for the long-term future.

This continuous roster re-engineering stabilizes the Los Angeles Chargers offensive ex*****on.

It provides Justin Herbert with a modern, explosive group of dynamic targets downfield. ⚡

The multi-year transformation of the aerial attack is officially complete.

A dangerous young core stands fully locked in to terrorize opposing secondaries. 🎯
