once put together they are guaranteed to create greatness in you. And what’s even better, to create greatness in a group of incredible and resilient women. As women, we are raised to see each other as competitors, when in reality we’re capable of accomplishing so much more by uniting. Encouraging females to not be ashamed of being overly confidant,and standing tall and strong and being indifferent to any negative comments. We stand to inspire others to join this fitness movement. No matter your shape or size. Confidence is key! And being you is the best gift you can give yourself ‐‐ OWN IT! Given that we both practice different sports, we want to motivate women to not beafraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. There are two sayings we strongly believe in: “Life Begins At The End Of Your Comfort Zone” and “Everything You’ve Ever Wanted Is One Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone.” But you need to want it bad enough to forget that the word impossible has a definition. Truth being, if we don’t give it meaning, it doesn’t exist. Dare to be Fearless. Fearless is being self disciplined and determined to accomplish whatever you set your mind to. It is about being motivated and self‐assured of success within. It is about simply getting up every day and showing up to the starting line. Throughout history, women have always been seen as being weaker than men. Especially in the sports industry. For example, boxing is known as a male dominated sport. FACT: if you ask anybody what they know about women in boxing they would only be able to tell you a very limited amount of information about it. They “may” be able to throw Tracy Martin’s name out there, IF that! Pursuing boxing as a career is looked upon as such a negative thing and not with the same respect. Many people have talked down on me for it, trying to convince me to pursue a different career and simply following the norm. The “traditional” path. That’s when stepping out of your comfort zone comes into play. Following your dreams is something one should never be afraid of. After all, “if you can dream it, you can achieve it.”
Let’s call it spade to spade, we all encounter hurdles in life. I think that little play on words was perfect seeing as to the fact that I wasn’t track star in high school, making this, the ideal segway to start my story. Passion, that good stuff that puts that spice and that meaning [back] into life, cannot be bought. Passion. True passion, is something that is within you. Marathon training requires focus and most importantly “fearlessness.” Every single day of your life is “race day” and you wake up telling yourself, “I am the best”, “I am unstoppable”, but more importantly “I am Fearless”. Just picture it: cruising through mile 6, then mile 12, sprinting through mile 20 when suddenly you feel the most excruciating pain of un‐hydrated, cramps in your calves. What do you do? Stop? With only 6 miles to go, do you cry, walk away or do you face the hurdle? A fearless woman would limp or even crawl her ass to the finish line, doing whatever it takes to overcome that hurdle. A medal is one reward, but in your heart you will find the real reward: the courage YOU KNOW it took YOU to finish that race. With fearless in your heart, no hurdle is big enough. FEARLESS ‐‐‐ WE PREVAIL.
