✨Berlin Marathon 2024 🇩🇪🥨🍺

Indeed it was one for the books: new PR by 6 minutes, stopping the clock at 2:37:32 (730th) 🤯🔥

Everything clicked since the opening miles: took it out conservative with the back of the pro women pacing group, focused on nutrition and hydration early on, and didn’t get caught into the “I need to stick to this group” mentality. Took some risks where I wanted to, enjoyed the crowds but didn’t get carried away, and reminded myself “YOU CAN DO BIG THINGS”. From mile 20 it started to get ugly but again I kept chipping away and passing many people, giving me the final boost to keep pressing on the gas and never look back. I finally reached the Brandenburger Tor, avg pace on the watch said 6:00/mile and I knew it was finally time to reach the Realm of Gods - I like it in here! ✨🪽🤍

Congrats to all finishers of the but in particular congrats to my bugalamoon joon to finish her first stand alone marathon in a fast time! Also it was great to share another course with my great friend - can’t wait to see what’s next 😏😎

🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️⭐️ 4 stars unlocked!!

A lot of times I’m getting asked “how can I become more aero on my TT bike?” 🤔

Follow on these key areas:
- Position. Optimize your riding position to reduce drag. Lower your torso and keep your elbows close to your body.

- Bike Fit. Ensure your bike is properly fitted. A professional bike fit can help you achieve the optimal aero position while maintaining comfort and power output.

- Helmet Choice. Use a time trial or aero helmet designed to minimize drag. It should fit snugly and align with your back for a smooth airflow.

- Clothing. Wear tight-fitting, aero clothing. Fabrics with a smooth surface and minimal flapping can reduce drag.

- Wheel Selection. Choose deep-section wheels that can help cut through the air more efficiently. Ensure they have some low rolling resistance tires as well.

- Tuning. Fine-tune your bike’s setup, including the angle of your aero bars and saddle height, to balance aerodynamics with comfort and power transfer.

Regularly testing and adjusting these elements can help you find the most aero position and setup for your specific needs. 🤓 What else do you think a rider should focus on?
