As an Inner Child Healing Coach, I guide clients through the profound process of reconnecting with and healing their inner child—the part of us that holds early life experiences, emotions, and memories. Our childhood trained us to live in survival mode but as adults we still operate from that training. 😔💔
You don’t have to though.
I’ve taught myself and many of my clients how to get out of survival mode and start living an empowered life. ✨
If you want to the exact tools that pushed my clients forward, comment TRIGGER below and I’ll send you my workbook that guides you to releasing your past trauma and FINALLY step into your aligned adult self. 🎉
FINAL PART OF THE INFANCY DEVELOPMENT SERIES: While it may seem early, providing consistent routines like feeding and bedtime helps infants feel secure and builds trust in the world around them. This isn’t about discipline but about creating a predictable, safe environment. As adults, our ability to set and respect boundaries often ties back to these early experiences. If you struggle with boundaries now, it may be worth reflecting on the structure you had as an infant.
Nurturing care during infancy goes far beyond meeting a baby’s physical needs. It’s about emotional attunement, warmth, and showing love, which are crucial for healthy emotional development. 🧠💖When these needs are met, a baby develops emotional resilience, confidence, and even problem-solving skills later in life. But when unmet, it can lead to struggles with self-worth and emotional regulation as adults.
In the 1950s, Harry Harlow’s famous monkey study revealed that emotional comfort and affection matter more than basic sustenance. The baby monkeys consistently chose the soft, comforting surrogate mother over the wire one that provided food. This demonstrates how deeply we crave connection and warmth, even from our earliest days. If these needs are met, we grow up feeling loved and secure. But if they aren’t, it can impact how we relate to others later in life.
