We teach Martial arts to children in a fun, safe, and non-competitive environment. Our unique blend Our unique blend of goal-setting, self-esteem, respect, and discipline program is taught to over one thousand children each week.
These goals are attained in an enjoyable, exciting, and enriching atmosphere, while in a family-like setting. Our classes are designed to have fun, to learn new skills, and to become knowledgeable not in the art of self-defense, but in the lessons of life. Our highly trained and qualified instructors are carefully selected for their ability to help each child to grow and develop in positive ways.

This year's shirt represents the element of wind with a Chinese dragon representing power, strength, and good luck. It is shape in the lucky number "8" which in Chinese culture sound like the word "Fa" which mean "fortune", "prosper", and "wealth." It is quite fitting as we enter the 2nd half of 2022 that my late father chose the proverb “May All Go Your Way” which is what we wish for all of our Karate 4 Kids USA community.
Stay Safe & Tang Soo!

It's been 15 years and counting since Master Crittenden and Master Figueroa began teaching our Karate 4 Kids USA Community. We have been fortunate enough to see them grow into tremendous leaders and role models for all of our ninjas. Their dedication and loyalty to our dojang have been instrumental in helping us "raise great citizens through the Martial Way." We wish them continued success and congratulates on their achievement!

Dear Karate 4 Kids USA Families and Friends,
Three years ago today, Karate 4 Kids USA was re-established. As I look around our dojang, I am reminded of just how far we have come. We have faced adversity, endured hate from those who do not know us, we’ve faced vandalism and burglary yet here we still are. It is because of you, our Karate 4 Kids USA Community that we have remained motivated to continue to adapt, teach, and overcome. In fact you all helped inspired this year’s t-shirt as we’ve felt your support, witnessed you all continuing to motivate each other, show up for one another, and be persistent in standing together. We are K4KUSA Strong and I am thankful for each one of you. TANG SOO!
That’s right WELCOME BACK: Our studio doors are opening for indoor Karate classes beginning on Monday July 5th. However, if you’re not quite ready to move indoors, we will be simulcasting classes and you will still have the option to take classes via Zoom, just as we have been doing since the beginning of the pandemic! For more information about this indoor/Zoom hybrid, including the COVID-19-related protocols we have in place, watch our video. (Check your email for link or DM us)
Our new summer t-shirts have arrived and will go on sale on Monday, so be sure to email us to reserve/purchase
one before they’re gone. Remember, you cannot wear the old t-shirts unless you have purchased one of the newest karate shirts!
Yesterday marked our first indoor class in over a year.
We appreciate your patience with our technical difficulties as we work to simulcast our hybrid classes so that we can accommodate in-person students as well as those who are Zoom-ing in.
We very much look forward to seeing all of your faces, either in the studio, or over Zoom!
Good luck candidates!!!! Here we go!!!!

After growing up in our Karate 4 Kids USA community the past 20 years we say Good Luck and Best Wishes to our very own Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie. His dedication to teaching our students for almost a decade is bitter sweet as today will be his last day before he goes off to do battle in a different ninja arena. Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie has been an awesome Karate teacher by day and a video editor by night and we wish him well on all of his future endeavors and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next!
March is a big month for us at Karate 4 Kids USA. Today marks the one year of quarantine Karate we've been through together and we'd like to thank our Karate community for all of your continued support and dedication to our dojang. A few of our staff members are also celebrating their anniversary this month: Master Lee with 13 years and Master Crittenden with 14 years of commitment to our students, families, and community. In honor of our two staff members, we would like to bring back one of our old traditions: check out our ninja of the month! @ Karate 4 Kids USA
Just a friendly reminder that today’s (03/11) outdoor classes are cancelled!
We will back in person on Saturday!!! The great thing about rainy days is that you can practice your forms and terminology inside with hot cocoa (don’t forget the marshmallows)!
Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie kicks off this year for us with some dexterity exercises. If you’re in weapons or not this challenging exercise will have you breaking a sweat just moving and wiggling your fingers! Let us know how your ninja does in the comments below!
Merry Christmas from Karate4Kids USA!
We are so grateful for each and every one of you! We hope everyone has a joyous holiday no matter what you’re celebrating today.
Master Figueroa brings us this creative challenge of making your own form! We wanna see what you can do and how creative you can be! Show us what you got!
Mister Shaw bring us back to some crucial basics with Making a Proper Fist. Show this one to your ninja and see if they know all the rules of making a proper fist. Ask them if they know which knuckles we use when we strike our targets. Comment below! (Bonus points for anyone that can say fist in Korean)
Master Figueroa brings us a front stance challenge! This time it’s up to you to respond which stance is the correct “Black Belt” stance in honor of today’s seminar “Train like a Black Belt!”
Can you pick out the Black Belt stance? Leave a comment below with your ninja’s (or your own) answer!
Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie brings us a unique way to practice our back stances (Hu Gul Jaseh) and work on our balance at the same time! Give this a shot and tag us in your attempts!
Mister Shaw helps us get stronger cores ready for all the gift lifting this coming holiday season! And he’s getting some help from his best friends! Come give this ab work a try with your parents and let us know what you think!
Master Figueroa (Flashback!) he brings to us the ever elusive When Jin Konk Kyuck (Side punch). This deceptively hard move to pull off is broken down for all our students here in this video to perfect and practice so when it comes time to learn Kee Cho Hyung Sam Bu you’ll be ready!
Great news! We are offering in-person outdoor classes! Mister Shaw takes us through all the protocols that will help keep our students safe and training! We will continue to teach classes on Zoom as well! We look forward to seeing you at the studio!
A repost of Master Lee’s belt tying tutorial! A lot of kids are trying to get that tip on their belt and here’s the answers they need to do it! We hope everyone is staying cool and ready to try some outdoor karate classes under our tents! Coming soon….
Mister Shaw shines like a STAR in this video about “Star Jumps!” Get ready to move your body and practice your jumps!
Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie brings us the Plyo Push-up (AKA clapping push-up!) With parents permission and supervision and maybe even a pillow under you give this one a shot! Master Lee and Master Crittenden recommend you try it on a soft bed first till you know it’s safe to do on a carpeted floor! So, be careful and give this one your best shot!
Master Figueroa is here to blast some abs with you with his fantastic Compound Leg Raisers! Stomach muscles are great for kicking, standing and general health! So, get down and get sweaty with this great exercise!
Mister Shaw is back with a great way to help you parents get the groceries in the house! Have your ninja strengthen their legs for better kicks and stances while carrying in today’s grocery haul!
Who’s ready to JUMP for joy? Well, Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie is! He brings us a fun game that everyone at home can play with parent’s permission! See how high you can get and try and beat your own high score!
Master Figueroa brings us today’s challenge of Roundhouse/Hook Kick combo! Find you a nice safe space to give this combo a go! It’s tough and will build up some endurance in your muscles as well as help you focus on your balance! Good luck and hopefully we can see you again in person really soon!
Thank you so much to everyone that came out and put their hands on the wall! It was amazing to see so many of you! We appreciate you being a part of our community and keeping our studio going during this time. We are working hard to get everything ready so when we get the OK from the Gov, Mayor and medical professionals to reopen that we will be ready to get you back in action at the studio. Until then we are so proud of the work everyone is putting in at home and we will continue to be there for you and your ninjas! !
Grab a pen and paper and get ready for your cardio challenge! Master Crittenden brings you HIIT week! You’re going to learn a little bit about cardio in general and get some assignments that hopefully you’re able to get out and do with family or on your own! We look forward to hearing about your progress and seeing results in your classes and testing!
Mister Shaw brings us another creative way to practice our stances and get outside! Check out this ‘How-to’ for building your very own Karate Hop Scotch. Send us some pics and videos of you rocking this exercise!
Kyo Sa Nim Gillespie brings us an upper body workout today as our daily challenge! We look forward to seeing you all give it a try!
And don’t forget to check out our previous post and email the studio if you’re interested in coming by and leaving your mark! We miss seeing you student’s in person and would love it if you could stop by even for a little while! We hope everyone is safe and finding new ways to have fun this summer. We plan on continuing to try and bring our martial arts to you as long as this takes! We are here if you need us! !
Two years ago, Karate 4 Kids USA was re-established by our awesome crew. We revamped and overhauled our curriculum making our Karate studio more well-rounded. We have continued to push our students to better themselves as well as motivate all those around them. We typically celebrate with the motto “Karate brings people together just like food brings people together” in mind. However, with the “new norm” we would like to commemorate by having our community help us celebrate in a different way. We recruited some ninjas and friends to help add some colorful art to our dojang. We invite you all to come and add your hand print to our community wall. Please email us at [email protected] to schedule an appointment to come and leave your mark! Thank you all for your continued support. Tang Soo! @ Karate 4 Kids USA
Master Figueroa is back again with some more household chores help! Learn how Karate can vacuum your floors! You read that right! Clean floors and front stance practice! Let’s see your work!
