Intruder in Windsor Square Home Break-in Arrested

A man who barricaded himself inside a Windsor Square home Sunday morning was arrested after a six-hour standoff with LAPD SWAT teams. The suspect threw a rock or brick through the plate-glass window of a home on Lucerne near Beverly Blvd around 8 am, surprising the family inside — who were able to safely exit. Beverly Blvd was closed between Rossmore and Larchmont for several hours as SWAT worked the scene. He was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported, though the home was damaged.
