In honor of my team and I have cooked up an immersive and breakthrough and session for our friends at Mavericks Recruiting on Demand.

They’re paving the way in a highly competitive recruiting industry while also elevating their team with wellness and health. Well done to my friend Kyle for leading this amazing cause.

You ready?

I’m ready.

Let’s start the day with a movement treat for self.

Take your steady state downward dog, shift forward and flow into a pigeon, (slowww) parachute 🪂 your upper body down onto your forearms and begin T-Spine rotation for two reps.

Stay on the same side for all work for 3-5 juicy minutes. Take a 30-second break and then switch to your second side.

Your joints, muscle tissue, and mental state will feel so elevated, open, and connected - A true gift for self.

Yesterday, May 7th, I married my best friend.

It’s been far more fulfilling for me to simply BE in all of life’s moments to MY fullest, so I chose not to post or even take many pictures tbh. The break was needed.

Since taking a social media break, my beautiful (now) wife and I got engaged last November on our 3-year anniversary. Just before that, we got pregnant!! Yup, I been in the club. Now, she’s 8 months pregnant and we’re overjoyed to be having a son due next month! Doesn’t she make it look gooood?

I made the easiest and most exciting decision I’ve ever made. I locked down the woman of my dreams.

Love you babe.

It was the year 2015, pre-Tonal, and no digital weights yet.

I was about 2 weeks out from my first All-State California NPC Physique show and I was feelinnnn' good!

Muscle split workouts. No cheat meals. I was on a sleep/recovery schedule, and I was eager for my shot at presenting my very best self on stage.

Whether you're trying to get stage ready, strong as ever, ripped, or anything in between; you should know that 90% of the strength style and programming details I did for this competition prep are included in my new advanced Divide & Conquer program only on . This muscle building program means biz!

I've got some questions....

1) Who's in for the Divide & Conquer challenge?

2) What’s your fav muscle group to train and why?

3) Who's already started it and what do you think so far? haha!

The great Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Not only do I fully agree, I have lived out that very line countless amounts of times.

So often in the fitness industry, in our work situation, social media ads, walking down the street, you name it, we’re comparing ourselves with others. I believe that when we compare ourselves to what other’s have, or simply who/how they are, we are essentially making ourselves feel down right inadequate and deflated - with a low self esteem to match.

For most of my life, I've struggled with comparing myself to other people.

In my early 20’s, I finally started tuning into this internal struggle of mine. I started learning that when I compare myself to others, I rob myself of MY ideas, dreams, plans, hard work, unique journey, my timing, and my accomplishments. I learned that I have to let my accomplishments stand on their own and just be happy for others in their journey. Sometimes our wants can definitely seem like a race to the top, but it isn’t. It’s a marathon of a journey where comparison should only thrive between who we were yesterday and who we are growing into today.

- Am I saying don’t compete?
- Don’t judge important situations in comparison?
- Don’t decide the best option for you or your family?

Of course not.

I’m saying that as you continue on your strength journey, remember to let your hard work and dedication stand on its own.

So what does comparison mean to you and how do you plan to turn the comparison that steals joy into the comparison that builds and excites? How can you use this message to stay on track to being your very best self?

Sending self love and BIG strength gains energy,

J-Rod

I’ve been a gym guy my entire life. When the hit and massively shifted the world, I realized I had something even better - a state of the art trainer at home to help me maintain my sanity AND a help me stay physically healthy.

Almost two years later, I’ve used nothing but this incredible technology.

Not here for compliments - I’m here to remind you that life is precious. Do the s**t you love. Work at the things you feel a passion for. Chip away in areas you’re not great at. And never, ever, ever, ever for get to have fun along the way!

About 4 years ago, I got “The Art of Fulfillment” tatted on my forearm.

For me, this powerful self-reminder is a constant nudge to constantly check in with my soul, my emotional depth, and my energy.

My message to self - take intentional moments to STOP and remember how far you’re come. This technique is NOT limited to material things. It’s about forward movement to YOUR goals and dreams.

What does “The Art of Fulfillment” mean for you in your life?

Vacationing on the in has been such a dream!✨

The power of nature + slowness has been the magic formula.

I have been doing some of my fav things like bike riding to nowhere, playing tennis with old guys (where are all the young tennis athletes at! lol), lounging, napping, dinners, visiting while hiking craters and volcanoes, and having connected quality time with my beauty - ps, she’s got a nice tennis stroke!🎾

Next up is Maui.
