The roller came in very impressive packaging and did not disappoint from there on. I love the instructions and the ease of use for this device that with my first try, immediately gave me relief from the pain in my shoulders with which I had been suffering for several months and which, I am sure was from a misalignment in my thoracic spine. I'm continuing to learn its many uses and benefits. I'm so grateful to have found such a tool for my fitness which gives an easy method to my daily exercise routine. Did you know that regular stretching is just as important as regular exercise?

Here are some of the main benefits of stretching:

Helps improve flexibility (increases your range of motion).

Assists in correct posture by lengthening tight muscles that pull areas of the body away from their intended position.

Potential to decrease injury by preparing muscles for work before activity.

Increases blood and nutrient supply to muscles, thereby possibly reducing muscle soreness.

Even a short amount of time (10-15 minutes) of stretching can calm the mind, provide a mental break, and give your body a chance to recharge.
Classes like yoga or pilates offer you a chance to spend an hour releasing tension physically and mentally.

The benefits of foam rolling have to do with the mobility of the fascia. Fascia is a fibrous layer of connective tissue that surrounds all of the muscles in our body. Without proper mobility, fibers of the fascia become cross linked and they bind to muscles and nerves, inhibiting normal motion and causing pain. Many runners will stretch to try to keep their muscles healthy, but is stretching really enough? We recommend using foam roller at first and then stretching. This improves the ability to stretch more and better. Another thing is, it helps to prevent injuries while trying to reach new levels on stretching. 😉
