Being triggered is NOT a bad thing, it’s an OPPORTUNITY to release (what doesn’t serve you) to create SPACE for what you deserve & desire. The ancient Hawaiians CELEBRATED when they were triggered, because they knew something was surfacing to be released & thus creates more space for manifestation powers.

Would you like to create joy, healing, & prosperity? What is the simplest & most powerful tool to achieve this & release blockages? FORGIVENESS.

Are you experiencing blockages in your goals or dreams? Do you have a physical ailment that won’t go away? A thought pattern you can’t seem to rid yourself of? The antidote—FORGIVENESS.

There is a story about Miriam, Moses’s sister who criticized him for marrying into another race, afterwards she contracted leprosy. She was later healed by Moses’s prayer. Criticism of one’s self & of others, is a major factor in ill health…

What is exactly? It does NOT mean you have to bow to or justify those who have offended you. It DOES mean “give for” or “to replace” the ill feeling (making you sick, not them) to gain a sense of peace and harmony again. To forgive means to release what is not serving you.

The ancient Hawaiians conducted a powerful practice of forgiveness every night before bed, mentally forgiving every person they came into contact with (even if there was nothing to “forgive”) & send them loving thoughts as a way to keep their energy clean, clear, joyful, and prosperous.

Imagine the person you are forgiving and say this prayer to them using their name afterward send love to them & see them as they truly are—a spark of the divine. & remember to do this process with yourself too!

How to alleviate anxiety & cultivate peace this holiday season:

1. Make your SELF CARE practice a PRIORITY (yoga, meditation, exercise, quiet time in morning as you drink your coffee & journal, etc)
—Putting others before yourself actually robs you of being fully present & creates resentment (no one what’s that for Christmas!) Give your loved ones the best gift of deep presence by sticking to your self care practice before you do anything else.

2. Practice saying NO.
—When we feel “obligated” to do something that usually a sign that it isn’t aligned. How can you say NO more so you can say YES to what truly matters & show up fully.

3. Take a breath before you react.
—we can’t always control what happens around us, but we can choose how we react to what happens around us...

My deep presence yoga & meditation retreat was better than my wildest imagination. When teaching yoga philosophy & the I taught through my own experience and stories with great vulnerability. Humans learn & retain information through stories that illuminate WHY these practices are important and in my case, how they saved my life. From this safe sacred space, the incredible women retreating also opened their hearts and shared courageously & vulnerably.

This is why the retreat was a success. We bonded through authentic connection & experience.

To me is an embodiment practice. It’s less about the asana & poses & more about what the poses teach you. How can you stay in chair, chaturanga, or half pigeon when your muscles are burning & everything is telling you to flee? Will you choose to stay in the fire until you find the blessing? If you can learn to stay physically (in chair) then you can learn to stay in the exquisite pain of grief, in having a hard conversation with a loved one or boss, stay calm at the red light when you’re already late, or when you’ve missed your airline connection.

We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to what happens to us. When we choose to stay longer than is comfortable, choose to remain calm amid calamity, & choose to accept the pain of grief or illness, we release victim mentality, empower ourselves & that frees up energy create peace, abundance,& creativity.

.closet & EPIC Surrealist Ball Wedding

Just as choosing a surrealist ball or Halloween costume is a great adventure, so is life. We get to choose how we show up in the world. We are more than our history, career, & roles we play.

Like a costume that we can take off, we can also change how we show up in the world, release limitation & self doubt. We each have a divine loving spark within us, which is our true identity, even when the only constant is change.

The deep love & radical acceptance .closet & share with not only one another but all their beloved friends and families reminds me that I get to choose how I show up in the world and in my life & that when I radically accept myself & surrender to my current reality, love flows abundantly wherever I go.

It’s always darkest before dawn...

We can either go through life or we can GROW through it.

Why is it important to grow? When we allow our pain, sorrow, loss MAKE us instead of break us. We step into our power, align with our souls purpose, and elevate the vibration of this planet together.

One of my greatest hardships was chronic insomnia for 6 years. What got me through years of maddening nights of tossing & turning (no matter how many supplements I took, meditation I did, or begging God to allow be to slip in oblivion just for a couple hours)...was remembering that this was shaping me to be of service first to myself and then others. And today that what I do—guide clients to heal their trauma & self sabotage to achieve their dreams in work, love, and health.

I am still healing, building my reservoir of energy. Some days I feel as lifeless as a deflated ballon. So I surrender to being tired, rest, pray, and always feel better the next day.

Why is the sunrise so beautiful? Because it is born out of darkness...

How can you allow your pain, sorrow, and losses MAKE you instead of break you?

How can you alchemist your tragedies into gold? What are you tragedies trying to teach you?

This month I’m compassionately noticing how I spiritually bypass my heart...

My old way is that when I am tired or lonely I tend to resistí rest and force my to exercise or push through my work day like a drill sergeant, which leaves me feeling more tired and sad. My new way of being is noticing when I feel tired and lonely and allow myself to feel that way. To surrender to it. Take a day off from exercise, take a bath, journal on where the root of my feeling are coming from to feel them, acknowledge them so they may move through and out of me.

How do you spiritually bypass your heart? When do you? With whom? I invite you to answer honestly & with compassion.

I see clients who notice they bypass their heart when they are in pain or anxious with alcohol, food, over exercise, busyness, etc. and when they do bypass their heart, they feel worse the next day. However, when they sit with their pain compassionately, it moves through and out of them and they feel better the following day.

Doing the work is HARD. It means looking at our self sabotage patterns honestly and with compassion. To see that WE are the common denominators of our lives. And if we want change for the better, it begins within.

Make promises & keep them. Your word is law. And the way you use your words is constantly creating your reality...

Ask yourself these questions. Get specific. Let go of limits. The only limits are in your mind. Write down your limitless answers. Read them daily.

Then, reverse engineer—if I want my life to look like this here is the first thing I need to do (today), here are the things I need to do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.
