In an over 50 year Broadcasting career, Fred Cowgill is a Teacher, General Manager and Emmy Award winning Sportscaster.
A feel good story today at Jeff, as student Marcus Baker is given a gift card by his assistant track coach Klarissa Early. This was meant as a thank you from her and teacher Jen Beckman for Marcus' good deeds. Among them, he helps a neighbor with a serious medical condition by taking out her trash and caring for her yard. Marcus is also on the Track and Field and Cross Country teams.
Greater Clark County Schools officially recognizes John Santry as the District's Teacher of the Year. John is a Special Ed. teacher at Indiana's Jeffersonville High School. He was selected out of a pool of over 700 teachers district wide. The honor includes John receiving $500 and a 1 year lease on a brand new car from Coyle Chevrolet. Congratulations John! You have our heartfelt thanks for all of your efforts. Superintendent Mark Laughner and Principal Pam Hall were also there to honor John and talk about him.
