TOP TIPS FOR TRAVELING ✈️

I’m headed off to Florida tonight and then New York tomorrow! I get to visit both of my “homes” this trip and I couldn’t be more excited!

🌟 PLAN OUT MEALS BEFOREHAND
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Keep it simple. Create a meal plan for your travel days and prep all your food before you leave. Things to consider:
1. Will you have access to a microwave?
2. How will you keep your food cold if necessary?
3. What will fit in your bag? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌟 FREEZE YOUR PREPARED MEALS
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-this will help keep them fresh for longer. Especially if your storage is limited and you can’t keep everything cold!

🌟 CHOOSE SNACKS THAT ARE HIGH IN PROTEIN

-some of my faves are:

🌟 FINDING A MICROWAVE 😅

-MOST gas stations and airports will have a microwave that you can use to heat up your food. You don’t have to go caveman style😜

🌟 BRING YOUR WATER BOTTLE

-whether you’re on the road or in the air, it’s easy to forget about water intake when you’re just sitting around. Make sure to pack a big water bottle with you to keep track of how much you’re drinking. I like to add BCAAs to mine for flavor😋

LETS STOP THE NEGATIVE SELF-TALK

I remember feeling so insecure in this bathing suit because it was “squeezing my love handles”....smh🙄

No matter how much progress we make, or how good other people tell us we look, we’re still our own worst critics and have these seemingly impossible visions of our bodies
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have got to stop picking our bodies apart and comparing ourselves to photoshopped Instagram models
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are three things you can start doing right now to improve your relationship with yourself and your body image

🛑 Stop body checking in the mirror!
-totally guilty of this🙋🏼♀️ especially after a fat loss phase. That whole time we associate progress with looking in the mirror every day and seeing new lines and muscle definition. It becomes a habit to look at yourself every day and critique your body. Whether you’re just coming off a fat loss phase or just living a healthy lifestyle, its time to...

💯 Redefine what success looks like
-instead of focusing on the number on the scale, focus on how you’re feeling—how is your energy, digestion, sleep? Set new goals based on your performance in the gym or listening to your bodies hunger and fullness cues or staying active as we move into the fall and winter months
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️Reframe those negative thoughts into positive ones
-For example, if you have a certain body part you automatically look at every time you see yourself in the mirror, instead of thinking “xyz” negative thought about it, think of something positive that part of your body does for you and be grateful that you have that body part! Becoming aware of those consistent thought patterns that are not serving you is the first step in changing your mindset and relationship with yourself
