Was an outstanding day at Skyview with the “Old Guys” we had a special guest play with us, our 3rd Congressional Representative Morgan McGarvey dropped by and played a couple of innings. Nice to see him just as a “normal” guy playing some baseball. The game was moving along as we got a full seven innings played in 2 hours and 22 minutes. Not a record but still impressive for the 60+ guys. NEXT game Wednesday the 7th, 6:30 at Skyview

Alright, it was a fantastic day to be at the ball park, giant thanks to Skyview Park for giving us Old Guys a place to play. Game one is in the book, give the W to the Captains as they bounced the Colonels. We welcomed 4 new players into the family, it was great having them out today. NEXT game Wednesday the 30th at Skyview Park 6:30 Hope to see everyone again. ⚾️

ALRIGHT !! We are all set, the weather looks outstanding, and we will play “Old Guys” baseball Sunday !! IF you are seeing this and are 60 and older, come on out to Skyview Park in J-town on Watterson Trail and check it out. Even if you “don’t” think you could play like you once did, neither can most of the guys, we just still love getting on the field, being in the moment with good friends, both old and new. BUT playing a game we love. It’s not “pretty” baseball but still a great time with like minded people. Stop by 3 pm and see what it’s all about. ⚾️

Alright!! That’s a wrap on the “Old Guys” 60+ summer practice games / workouts. Had 19 out today for a nice spirited game. Score was 8 to 8 or 9 to 9 either way was a great way to end the summer. Both teams; Captains and Colonels are now set for our main event, Fall Ball. We will start Sunday September 20th, 3 PM at Skyview Park. The final schedule should be in place by next weekend. Still working on a couple of other fields. I want to thank Ted Nunn for all his help arranging games at Skyview. Looking forward to a great fall season. ALSO be looking at Saturday October 17th as we are planning a day trip up to play our friends in Cincinnati. ⚾️⚾️⚾️
