We officially opened Flood Gate #1 today by sending enrollment links to our former families, current families, and waitlist β€” and WOW… the response has been unreal! πŸ€―πŸ’™

🚫 Flotation devices (such as "puddle jumpers," armbands, etc.) create a misleading sense of security for children and position them in ways that are not conducive to developing swimming skills. When a child learns that they can jump into the water and adopt a vertical position while still being able to breathe, they may develop a false understanding of water safety. It’s essential that children who are not yet swimming proficiently do not gain the impression that it is safe to play in the water using these aids as support as their minds are unable to identify WHY they are staying afloat with a device on! Furthermore, even the slightest bit of overuse in these devices train your childs muscle memory vertical, also known as, π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘€π‘›π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘π‘œπ‘ π‘–π‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›!

❗️While Coast Guard-approved life jackets are π—₯π—˜π—€π—¨π—œπ—₯π—˜π—— when on a boat or near open, uncontrolled and dark bodies of water where accidental submersion could occur, they should not replace swimming ability or the necessity for adult supervision

The social aspect of group lessons, after their intial skills are mastered, plays an integral role in the developmental and emotional well-being of both children and caregivers. These interactions foster community, enhance social skills, promote language acquisition, and create valuable support networks. Ultimately, group swim lessons are not just about learning to swim; they also cultivate connections that enrich the parenting experience and instill beneficial values in our children as they embark on their developmental journeys. πŸŒŠπŸ€πŸ‘Άβ€οΈ
