In triathlon we have good days and bad days. We have great workouts, we feel super strong. Then we have a workout that beats us down. The light at the end of the tunnel is brightest when we believe we can win. Don’t second guess yourself. That goes both ways in racing. If you’re well trained and race ready stay positive. But if you feel off, feel sick it’s 100% okay to walk away. Nothing is worth losing your life.

Proper training is key, but only you know you. As a coach never pressure your athletes to compete if they are not 100% ready.

Coming back from an injury even a mild one, never rush back into what you think you can do. Today was 40 min mid z2. I’m finally getting back to harder training after 4 weeks

Finally back to normal after a race injury. Today’s run felt amazing!! If you get injured, take your time, return slowly back to training. You will thank yourself later for it.

It was not the day I wanted but it was the day Little Elm gave me. Minor knee injury on the bike kept me from the run.
