Happy 17th Birthday to our driver today! 🥳

At a young age, this man took a chance on me. He trusted me to get behind the wheel and drive for his racing program when I was 14 still learning and growing. He didn’t just give me a seat they believed in me. He backed me, supported me, and gave me an opportunity to learn and work when nobody else would. We have set fast times and we broke silver crown history. I’m forever grateful for the belief you and your son had in me at such a young age. Thank you for betting on me when I was still learning how to bet on myself. Happy Birthday Mr. Sam Pierce 🏁

Mother Nature strikes again! Citrus County Speedway and Track LLC has elected to postpone this weekends event due to the unfavorable forecast and it has been rescheduled to August 22nd!

Berlin… Berlin… Berlin.
I’m officially 3 for 3 on bad luck at the Race for the Million. This black cloud seems determined to follow me every time I show up at these races. First and foremost, thank you to AP Driver Development, Sam Pierce Chevrolet, Zaki Ali, Vern’s Concrete, Thunderbird Resort, TCarreno, TNT Fabrication, and Fine Line Landscaping. Without your support, none of this would be possible.
Friday, the car wouldn’t fire, and we lost an entire day of practice. Saturday, I was already playing catch up. I had to throw a Hail Mary in qualifying, and it landed us 21st. At that point, all we could do was keep digging. In the heat race the car was what I’d call dump truck tight, and in the first feature we started so far back in the nosebleed section that the dirty air made it nearly impossible to make up ground. Before the second feature, we threw the kitchen sink at the car. The first two restarts, it absolutely launched, and I felt like we had something special. By the third restart, it tightened back up and I’d already burnt the right front up trying to make it turn. We still managed to stand on the podium. Was it the weekend we wanted? Not even close. But considering where we started, I’ll take the positives. There’s plenty of work to do and we’re learning at every track we go to. I’m grateful for the opportunity to race against this level of competition and grateful for everyone who helps make it happen.

“We cheered for you the loudest!” Is better than any trophy. Kids waiting an hour for just a picture and an autograph after a race are my favorite part of the entire weekends.

This is part of the comeback story. Grateful to be standing here. Thank you to everyone. We will recap the entire weekend tomorrow.
