🏆 OARSMEN OF THE WEEK 🏆
Friday night didn’t go the way we wanted on the scoreboard, but these three young men showed exactly what we want our program to represent.
When their opportunities came, they answered. They competed with toughness, played with grit, trusted the people around them, and found different ways to GIVE MORE for their team.
Their contributions went beyond individual plays. Their presence made us better. Their effort mattered. Their belief mattered!
That’s what GROWTH looks like. It’s continuing to fight, continuing to serve, and continuing to ROW when the waters get rough.

🏆 GOLDEN OARSMAN OF THE WEEK 🏆
Some people make an impact without ever playing a snap.
Every morning at 5:45 AM, JoJo shows up to practice…not because he has to, but because he chooses to!
He’s flying around the field setting up stations, helping coaches, carrying equipment, handling whatever needs to be done, and looking for the next opportunity to SERVE. Then on Friday nights, he’s right there with us as our ball boy, doing his part to help our dudes compete.
No spotlight needed. No recognition expected. Just a servant’s heart and a willingness to GIVE MORE!
That is what being a Golden Oarsman is all about.
When we say GROW — Give More, Relationships First, Own Everything, Win Together — JoJo is living it. He has made an IMMEDIATE IMPACT on our football program because he understands something bigger than football.
You don’t have to wear the uniform to help move the boat. You just have to be willing to grab an oar and ROW!
JoJo, YOU MATTER to this football team. Your energy matters. Your service matters. Your presence matters. And our program is BETTER because you are in it!

There’s no better way to start GAME DAY!
Our football team spent the morning at the Primary welcoming our littlest Pirates to school! High fives, handshakes, and hugs!

Week 1 tested us. We didn’t flinch!
Now Week 2 gives us another opportunity to prove that GROWTH never stops!
Friday night is about playing for the dude beside you. Doing your job. No empty hands. When adversity shows up, we don’t wait for somebody else to respond….we grab an oar and ROW!
Protect our home. Play with purpose. GROW together!

Our JV showed what TOUGHNESS, GRIT, and BELIEF look like tonight!
Down late with the game on the line, these young men never flinched. They kept fighting, kept believing in each other, and found a way to come back and WIN IT in the final two minutes, 26-22!
Proud of the fight in this group. JV moves to 2-0!

They are the players who pulled their weight and then some. When the game became difficult, they kept rowing! When adversity hit, they responded. When their number was called, they delivered!
