One of our newcomers has decided to host a fundraiser for the sanctuary. We realize times are tough and money is tight for everyone. Any amount is a blessing to us to keep the animals fed, vetted, farrier care and fence repairs around the sanctuary. Experts are saying winter is going to potentially be very harsh which means high than normal hay and feed needs so any amount is much appreciated!!

Papi the thief. He likes to be sneaky. Brandy got her feed back so no worries there 😆

Soaking up the warmer evenings and hoping the gentle breezes are a sign of fall on the horizon. The horses and us prefer those cooler temps.

Horses in every view. What more could anyone ask for?

The sanctuary is a place of belonging, peace and trust. It relies on individuals who share the same love for them that we do and those who marvel at how a blind horse can still fulfill a purpose and have a mostly normal life.

Tonight I delivered four bags of feed, two bags of alfalfa/Timothy pellets and a trace mineral lick for a sum of close to $150. This amount of feed will only last a few days at best. That’s why donations are crucial for this sanctuary’s survival so that we can be here for those who visit us and to spread awareness that blind horses are far more than their disability and when given a chance they can still thrive 🫶🏻

Crazy looking storm clouds as the sun set the other night made for some really pretty skies. For all you Stranger Things fans we thought we were looking at the upside down

What was thought to be a stormy feeding time actually turned out to be a beautiful feeding time 🌈

Nothing like a 1000lb blind best friend. They give the best love nibbles.

We are always in need of donations to continue to care for the blind herd that is here at the sanctuary. The food bill never stops. You can mail to our address or send via PayPal and any donation amount is so much appreciated.
