Death of the Mask I Wear
(Poem by: Jamie Robinson)
My heart beats with a quiet ache - the kind that whispers something is missing,
even when so much appears to be right.
Like meaning, desperately trying to find itself
inside the mind of an atheist.
I want to peel away every skin
that has suffocated the awareness beneath.
Every borrowed identity.
Every performance.
Every lie I swallowed until it learned to call itself me.
My thoughts arrive like broken glass - shattered, directionless, bleeding into one another, leaving behind only the tender sting
of hopelessness… too exhausted to scream.
Listless, I sit alone on a park bench,
watching people perform their own beautiful rituals
of meaning-making,
as if any of it will survive the grave.
Maybe that sounds cynical.
Maybe my half-empty way of seeing the world
deserves judgment.
So let them judge.
I’d rather be crucified for telling the truth
than applauded for another comforting illusion.
Here I sit - one fleeting expression of life,
trying to reconnect my inner nature with the outer world,
as though they were ever separate.
What the f**k do I know?
Only that life is happening
in me, through me, and as me.
This thing I call “me”
has worn a thousand masks -
the obedient one,
the strong one,
the hopeful one,
the wounded one,
the one who convinced everyone he was okay.
I’m exhausted.
The only mask I have left to wear is the one that doesn’t exist.
So let every false version of me die.
Let every story collapse beneath its own weight.
Let every illusion rot until nothing remains
but naked awareness,
or nothing at all.
Death has been knocking for a long time.
Not the death of this body.
The death of every lie I have ever called myself.
This time…
I’m ready to answer.

Wishing my brother, & founder of -
a blessed Birthday.
We had a great ride together doing meaningful work in the world.
Although we’re not in each other‘s lives as much as we were, you are forever family to me!
Always love and respect 🤘❤️

As Spartan comes to a close, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every single person who was part of this incredible journey. And, of course, a special shout-out to Pod 13 - many of whom are pictured here.
Thank you for showing up with consistency, determination, and heart. More importantly, thank you for the encouragement, support, and genuine care you gave one another along the way. Every step, every workout, every challenge was made lighter because we faced it together.
There’s something powerful about a community moving toward a common goal. Together, we accomplished far more than any one of us could have alone.
While this chapter may be ending, the relationships we’ve built don’t have to. Thanks to social media, we can continue cheering each other on, celebrating victories, and lifting one another through whatever comes next.
Life has a way of connecting us most deeply through shared challenges. It’s in overcoming obstacles together that strangers become teammates, teammates become friends, and friendships become lasting reminders that we were never meant to walk this journey alone.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of yours. Here’s to the next adventure.

Fatherhood is a blessing, even with all of the challenges.
Challenge is the process of growth, and there is nothing that has guided me toward my wholeness more than showing up as a loving, grounded, and present father.

When you don’t have much equipment to exercise with, grab a soft cuddly stuffed puppy thingy & do some hand to feet passes 😂
It’s a banger of an abdominal exercise - and you get to channel your inner toddler 💪👶
Rebecca Eckman Farrell you rock!!!
