I can be a pretty hard person to impress when it comes to restaurants and food trucks. I consider myself a pretty good cook, and I can make a killer burger, so I honestly never expected to say this but I had the best cheeseburger of my life yesterday, and it came from a food truck!

Over The Top Chef absolutely knocked it out of the park. I’ve passed their truck in Madison so many times, and let me tell you, that was a mistake. The burger was incredible, the fries were just as good, and the efficiency and service were top-notch.

If you haven’t tried Over The Top Chef yet, do yourself a favor and go check them out. You’re seriously missing out! 🍔🔥

What a day! 🌧️💨

During the thunderstorm, a big gust came through and vendor tents and products went everywhere. Unfortunately, a lot of vendors lost inventory and equipment, and the rain probably cost all of us a good chunk of the sales we were expecting.

But that’s part of doing business sometimes. You pick things up, move forward, and keep going.

What really stood out to us today, though, was having good neighbors.

Another vendor found one of our items that had blown away. It’s a pack of soft plastics, and while losing one certainly isn’t going to make or break our business, what they did means a lot to us.

They could have kept it. They could have thrown it away. Instead, they took the time to find Rose River Lure Company online, message us, and give us the opportunity to get our inventory back and it turns out they lived right around the corner for me.

That kind of honesty and kindness is what small-business communities are all about.

To everyone who stopped by, supported us, bought something, talked fishing, or simply came out to support the vendors today THANK YOU! We truly appreciate every single one of you.

The street festival is still going on until 4pm. We're back in action some vendors did pack up but the rain is gone!

Well the weather took a turn.... were riding it out for now waiting under cover waiting for the storm to pass. We may set back up but right now it's not looking good.
