On Friday, April 17, at 3:30, there will be an informational bass fishing team meeting in the library. At the meeting we will talk about equipment needed, practice schedule, and the IHSA post season schedule. Even if you play in other sports you are welcome to come learn about the team. You can still be part of the team even if you participate in other sports that will take priority. Thank you.

Mahomet-Seymour freshmen reel in spot at Bassmaster Junior Nationals MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — A pair of Mahomet teenagers are headed to a national competition that can only be explained as off-the-hook. Incoming Mahomet-Seymour High School freshmen Austin Shroye…
I know last week I announced a practice would be held this Monday BUT I forgot I am out for a work conference.
I was unable to hold one during the week last week as I was out with Covid. Hopefully we can get together at some point this week.
Thanks!
**No Practice**
Sorry for the delayed notice but there will be no practice tonight. I was hoping that my return from out of country would not affect having practice tonight, but I am not able to make it. We will definitely have practice next Monday.
If I can squeeze one in later this week I will make a post here and try to get the word out!
Thanks!

We held our second practice of the year tonight. After some fishing everyone got to build a spinnerbait. Alex, a longstanding member of our team, took the spinnerbait he built and put it to work! Great job Alex!
Our next practice will be on Monday, April 28. Spread the word!
The first practice of the 2025 school year will be tomorrow from 4 to 5:30 PM at the Mahomet Sportsman’s Club. Please dress appropriately for the weather. The agenda will be to fish, discuss the practice schedule, discuss the IHSA schedule, and build a spinnerbait. Please pass the word!

Rivest and Crawford catch a Top 10!
On Sunday sophomores Brayden Rivest and Andrew Crawford competed in the IBN season opener on a stingy Lake Shelbyville. They only caught 3 keeper bass to bring to the scales. Those 3 ended up being enough for 10th place.
While the boys are technically fishing for Off the Hook Bassmasters (a community club out of Boilingbrook) they still like to rep their town and school who are always cheering them on!
Great start to the season!

Shroyrer and Cunningham take 2nd Place at the Illinois Bass Nation Junior Division season opener.
Yesterday teams competed at Lake Shelbyville to start the 24/25 season. Shroyer and Cunningham brought 2 fish to the scales that netted them 2nd place on a very tough fishing Lake Shelbyville. They are off to strong start this season and are in good position as they look to qualify for the state championship!
Great job!

IHSA State Championship - Carlyle Lake
Rivest and Crawford had a tough day on the water weighing only 2 fish for 3 lb 15 oz. Their weight has them in 32nd place in the 75 boat state championship field after day 1.
Tomorrow is the final day. Good luck!

Congratulations to Brayden Rivest and Andrew Crawford for getting off to a solid start in the ICASSTT spring season at Lake of Egypt last weekend.
Both finishes were in the top 30% (93 boat field) and earned them All State Points. The top 24 in the final standings at the end of the season (fall 23 - spring 24) earn an All State designation.
Currently they occupy the 8th and 9th place spots.
Good luck boys on your race to be All State in your freshman season!
