The QL is a large muscle of the low and middle back that attaches to the upper portion of the pelvis, the side of the low back and bottom rib. It serves several important functions:
1. Positioning the spine relative to the pelvis 2. Helps the body to maintain an upright position 3. Stabilizing the spine and the pelvis, especially when we walk or run 4. Assisting with breathing by allowing the rib cage to expand as the lungs fill with air

How to Find Your Why: A Process⁠
Think of something you want (performing a task better or an emotion) or something you love to do. ⁠
Ex) "I love to play golf and want to find out how good I can be at it" or "How will I make myself proud today?"⁠
Then incorporate how showing up for your workout will keep you consistently in line with your purpose. ⁠

Rebecca’s passion for movement began with dance, swimming, and gymnastics at an early age. She received a B.F.A. from North Carolina School of the Arts where she studied dance, anatomy and kinesiology.

She received her fitness training from Refine Method in NYC. Programs are tailored directly to client goals, offering a variety of modalities to suit their needs.

Rebecca is also a freelance performer and choreographer.
