It's the first day Summer, and we're going outside this weekend! What are you carrying right now? What's bringing you joy? What do you wish someone would just ask you about?
This June, we're creating space for exactly that. Come meet the sisters and siblings behind Sister to Sister's Sister to Steward Cohort -the community stewards who will show up every month because they believe Black women, femmes, and gender-expansive people and our families deserve a place to speak and move freely, be heard fully, and leave feeling less alone.
Join us as we experiment with our outdoor celebration format. We'll circle up with community leaders and health professionals ranging from healthcare providers, wellbeing researchers, policymakers, and educators.
This month's gathering is an opportunity to bring our partnership with Cambridge HEART (Cambridge HEART) and the Movement and Breath series outside with Daria Johnson and Malaika of Bonafide Creations Ms. Bonafide Creations & Yoga enjoy catered community meal, and share time playing games, crafting, and a little dancing. Protected time for honest check-ins, story sharing, and the kind of connection that happens when our sisters and siblings stop performing "I'm fine" and actually talk about community safety and freedom in movement. Come share what's on your mind in how we take up more space and commit to our "unweathering" and ntergenerational healing. Come curious about someone else's story. Come as you are. This event is designed for the fullness of you.
