This year was filled with profound lessons. Despite the ups and downs, I came to understand there were still parts of myself I needed to face. I had to dig deeper to heal my inner child and let go of everything that no longer serves me.
🙏I’m grateful for the experiences and to everyone who’s crossed my path this year. Each moment, whether joyful or challenging, has helped me grow into a stronger, more aligned version of myself.
As I reflect, I’m leaving behind work burnout, old patterns, and anything that doesn’t support my growth. In 2025, I’m stepping into my high self, claiming alignment and the unapologetic pursuit of my dreams.

At 48, I’m living proof that it’s never too late to start feeling your best. Here are my top tips for aging gracefully:
1. Prioritize Strength Training 💪
Don’t shy away from lifting heavier weights, especially if you’re a woman over 40. Building muscle protects your bones, boosts your metabolism, and keeps you strong and injury free while building confidence.
2. Find Joy in Movement 💃🏻🏄🏻♀️🤸🏻♀️🛼🏸🚴🏼♀️🚶🏻♀️
Whether it’s dancing, hiking, or whatever your heart desires, find activities that make you feel good. Movement should be about having fun and staying active, not punishment. I never limit myself to just one sport—variety keeps me energized and engaged. 😉
3. Practice Self-Compassion & Self-Love ❤️
Aging gracefully starts from the inside. Be kind to yourself, honor where you are right now, and take time to nurture your mental and emotional well-being - which is just as important as your physical health.
4. Stay Curious and Keep Learning 🌟👩🏻🏫 📚
Take on new challenges, learn a new language, or pick up a skill you’ve always been curious about. Keeping your mind engaged and staying curious helps you stay young at heart.
5. Build a Supportive Community 🙆🏻♀️🤝

For years, I struggled with self love. I fell into self-sabotage and limiting beliefs that kept me stuck and feeling disconnected from my own life. Searching for happiness in things, places, or other people only left me feeling more lost. Facing myself wasn’t easy—It took hitting rock bottom and peeling back layers to realize that real peace and self-worth come from within.
🧘🏻♀️Through daily self-love, gratitude, meditation and self compassion, I began releasing old wounds and energy blockages, uncovering a strength I never knew I had.
I’m still a work in progress, and that’s okay. We’re human, after all—always growing, always evolving.
🤗 If you’re struggling, know that you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s easier to fill our lives with distractions than to truly look within. And yes, it can be ugly and painful sometimes. Remember to be gentle with yourself; healing takes time.🫶🏽

At 48, I’m still rebellious, fiercely independent, and unapologetically me. I live life by my own rules—but with respect for others and a deep focus on who I allow into my life. This is why you may be low on energy👎
As we enter the fall 🍂 where the days are getting shorter and the sun feels like it’s fading, I feel the effects too.
I get it—living in NYC, and as someone who struggles with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), I know firsthand how the lack of sunshine can mess with your energy levels, mood, and motivation. I was diagnosed with low Vitamin D years ago so I take a supplement during the fall/winter and take frequent trips to sunny destinations.
Here’s why it’s happening and how you can start feeling better:
☀️ Why Sunshine is Essential:
✅ Increases Vitamin D
With shorter days, it’s harder to get enough Vitamin D, which plays a big role in keeping your energy levels and immune system strong. Try to get outside even for a few minutes each day.
✅ Boosts Serotonin
Sunlight helps your body produce serotonin, which is your “feel-good” hormone. Low serotonin can lead to that sluggish, low-energy feeling that comes with SAD.
✅ Regulates Your Sleep Cycle
Sunlight helps your body produce melatonin at the right times, ensuring better sleep quality. Try to get outside in the morning to reset your internal clock.
✅ Energizes Your Body & Mind
Just stepping outside for a brisk walk in the sun can wake you up and boost your motivation, helping you stay active and focused.

🧘🏻♀️ I struggled with self love for years, not thinking I was good enough. Beating myself up was the norm and I had relationships or friendships that were toxic for me. Every now and then I go back to those patterns but I recognize the red flags earlier and am able to walk away much sooner.
I believe the universe is always testing us. Unless we learn our lessons, we’ll continue repeating the same patterns until WE choose to change our path. 👊

Where’s your happy place? ☀️
I don’t know about you, but I thrive in sunshine and the heat. I can’t stay away from the sea for long either. Give me a surfboard and waves and I’ll be content in the ocean for hours.
Surfing all year in NY used to be appealing and props to those who do, but I dread putting on my 6mm wetsuit and 8mm gloves! My body doesn’t do well in the cold these days. 🥶
I’m so grateful I was able to spend a month in Mexico last fall. From Mexico City to Puerto Escondido to Guadalajara and an unexpected trip back to Sayulita & Punta Mita, I’ve met so many amazing friends along the way. Thank you for your friendship and hospitality 🙏

Happy new year from El Salvador 🇸🇻
Hope you’re having a great start of the year. I don’t do well in the cold and am always exploring places to live for the winter. So long as I can surf and work from my computer, I’m good. I didn’t realize how much I would fall in love with El Tunco beach.
Its surfer’s paradise. Everyone is super friendly and you meet people from all over the world. I absolutely love the vibe and grateful for the opportunity since this was a last minute trip. Every day has been an adventure. I get to improve my Spanish daily along with staying in shape by surfing. Tks for taking care of me. 🙏
