Maverick Lacrosse awards the team 2025-2026 season VEST Award to midfielder, Roman Kauphusman for the second season in a row. Roman was a key player and teammate for Maverick Men’s Lacrosse all season long, both on and off the field. Absolute glue.

Maverick Lacrosse awards the team 2025-2026 season Rookie of the Year to attack, Jackson Brown. Freshman Attack Jackson Brown was an immediate catalyst on the offensive end and was responsible for many of our goals and assists this year.

Maverick Lacrosse awards the team 2025-2026 season Defensive Player of the Year to LSM, Topher Needham. Over 6 goals on the season, heavy lifting in transition, or if there was any need for some electricity, Topher held it down.

Maverick Lacrosse awards the team 2025-2026 season MVP to goalie, Aiden Sorsoleil. Whether it was regular season play, leadership on and off the field, or a vintage performance in the GLLL playoffs, this one is well deserved.

𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏

Round 1: Mavericks take down Northwestern 12-10, sending the Cats to the consolation bracket.

Round 2: Despite a game filled with grit, the Mavericks lose a heartbreaker to UWW 12-9, ending the playoff run for MNSU.

As the season closes out, the boys are in for one last ride. Ending the season ranked 7th overall, the Mavericks travel to Madison, WI for a shot at the GLLL title and some hardware… Round 1 tomorrow (𝟰/𝟭𝟴).

We’ve come this far. The regular season is over. The bracket is set.

The Mavericks get one more week. One more week until we get a chance at taking home the GLLL trophy. One more week to put the work in. One more week to sharpen skills. One more week of opportunity. Then we leave it all on the field.

The 3rd ranked Mavericks notch a 6-2 win against Carleton, and fall 11-4 to 4th ranked UW-La Crosse. The team looks ahead to playoffs next weekend.

The 6th ranked Mavericks move up in the win column with a 10-1 win over UW-Stout and a 4-3 win against 3rd ranked University of North Dakota.
