We’re busy prepping the site for the future pavilion! The cement pad will be completed tomorrow. Please steer clear of the construction.

We are still fundraising for the structure itself but wanted to make sure we got started as soon as possible! Thank you for your patience and support!

Please refrain from being in the small softball field (field 4) due to w**d killer application this morning. The same for the small baseball field (field 1) but it is still closed due to the fence. We have the materials and we are just waiting for the utilities to be marked so we can install a new out field fence on it.

So the numbers are in…we raised a substantial amount toward our pavilion goal! We aren’t quite there but we are blown away by the community support! Thank you to everyone that has a hand in this to help make progress toward the goal! We are ready to run it back, and do it all over again. Our sponsors are the absolute best!

Leave a comment of what you’d like to see for the next improvement in the parks after we get the pavilion project underway! I’ve heard dog park and maybe a few other things!

On a side note, the spontaneous auction to benefit the family of James Slawson, also brought more than $4,000. This was absolutely incredible.

It was a great day with so many volunteers and sponsors. I can’t thank you enough for all that you did!

I know I will miss some but I’m going to try and tag as many as I can.

Shout out to Honeycomb Band for rocking it out on stage and to Keeli Bouse for the awesome water slide that the kids enjoyed!

My best friend came from Ponca and brought his whole posse to cook crawfish. 🦞

The local FFA chapter stepped up to help serve along with a lot of other volunteers. Good friends also came to put their work in and I am thankful to be surrounded by them. The sponsors showed up and made it fantastic.

I gotta give a shout out to my family for always being drug into what I do. They help so much and have to deal with me which is on another level. I really want to thank Baron Quillin as he was there all day working at whatever I told him to do. Him and Landon Jimenez were some work mules and shows the character that they are building.

Zac Moore & Lisa Moore and their family were game changers along with Brad Jimenez & Jacinda Christine Jimenez, Johnny Porter & Britny Rochelle Porter.

Casey Beck and Josh Beck bail me out when I need help. I drag Casey into everything and I’m proud to call her a friend and glad she puts up with me and all my projects! Now if she can just access to the ideas that live in my head, we’d be unstoppable! 😂 Josh is the silent hero. Fixing this or that trouble shooting things, just whatever needs to be done, gets done. He’s an amazing person. Thanks for all that you do!

Devinn McCall is the one that gets it all on record and gets things moving. Thanks for keeping it all organized.

I know I’ve missed some, but I am so grateful that we were able to make this a success. We will have to change up some things next year but trust me, notes were made and we have the next one in our sites already!

Yesterday was a big success! What started as a rainy day turned into a beautiful day! I can’t thank everyone enough, from the volunteers to the sponsors!!! It was an amazing day and it moved the needle toward our goal of a pavilion! We aren’t there yet, but we are getting closer. Don’t forget to pencil us in for next year, let’s do it bigger and better!!! May 29th 2027!!!

On a side note, this community is amazing. I walked to the stage with four items in my hand as I tried to choke back words. We were gonna auction some items for the family of James Slawson, a great young man that left this world too soon.

After I said what it was for, the community knew their assignment. The one and only Buster Butler took the mic to do some auctioneering for us…

As mentioned we started with four items which brought an incredible $1,040…but it wasn’t over, people kept coming to the stage and saying, we have this to auction, and we want to offer that. The people responded. Not only were there some cool prizes but we raised an incredible $4,090 for a grieving family.

I want to thank each of those businesses and bid winners for making this spontaneous auction a great success!

Now I’m gonna take the day and rest…when it dries up, I’ve got some ruts to repair at the park. Maybe I should have won some of the auction items!!!

It might be wet, so I don’t recommend your fancy shoes, but we are still cooking crawfish 🦞 today! There will be vendors, music and a water slide!
