We hope you and your family are doing well during these turbulent times. Our members, their families, and the entire community has been in our prayers over the last several weeks.
We have genuinely been touched by the kind messages and positive feedback we have received from everyone after we temporarily closed in accordance with state guidelines. We received so many encouraging messages and were truly surprised by the number of you who requested to be billed (even though we froze all billing) to help the gym survive while we were closed. As an independently owned small business with a local staff who are directly supported by your being a member...we cannot thank you enough!
We are excited to share that, per guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Office of the Governor of South Carolina, our facility will reopen at 12:01 AM on Monday, May 18th to full 24/7 access. While all staffed hours, training activities, and member services will be reinstated on the 18th, member billing will not resume until the first week of June, effectively providing a 2-month payment freeze for all memberships during this time.
We will continue to uphold our rigorous standards of cleanliness by ensuring machines and surfaces are continually sanitized and disinfected throughout the day. Additionally, hand sanitizer and gym wipes will continue to be located throughout the gym for your personal use. Can’t find them? Let us know!
The safety and health of our members and staff are of utmost importance as we adhere to COVID-19 policies and mandates from federal, state and local authorities. To create a safe environment for our members and staff, we have implemented the following:
Social Distancing Practices
- Gym capacity limited to 30 people (5 per 1,000 square feet)
- Staff will ensure social distancing of 6’ for all gym activities
- Equipment may be disabled, or signs used, to maintain distancing requirements
- Group Training sessions will resume, with no contact protocols and no equipment sharing during sessions
Enhanced Cleaning Practices
- Hand sanitizer will be provided in the member lobby, as supplies are available
- Medical grade cleaning products are available throughout the gym
- Thorough pre and post wipe downs of all gym equipment are necessary
- Water fountains for refilling water bottles only
- During staffed hours, the gym will receive a thorough cleaning, including all restrooms, equipment, and surfaces
- Staff are required to stay home if exhibiting any symptoms
- Masks and/or gloves are available for staff
- The office is included in the cleaning practices mentioned above
To help keep our AF community healthy, we ask that you:
- Not enter if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, had symptoms of COVID-19, or had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19
- Self-record your temperature before entering the facility (must be below 100° to enter)
- Wash your hands frequently and cover coughs and sneezes with your arm as a courtesy to those around you

Anytime Fitness is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our members and staff. That’s why we have been following the guidance and recommendations set by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and are committed to playing our part in the COVID-19 containment efforts.
Per the Executive Order 2020-17 issued by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster on March 31st regarding ‘non-essential’ commerce, Anytime Fitness of Manning will be temporarily closed to all members and guests alike until April 16th, or until the order has been lifted.
But that doesn’t mean we aren’t still here for you. Anytime Fitness is committed to supporting you in your fitness journey—anytime, anywhere—with the Anytime Fitness App®. The Anytime Fitness App, available on the Apple or Android app stores, provides valuable coaching, access to over 1,000 workouts, and guidance in times when a visit to your gym might not be an option.
We are also live streaming at-home workouts for you and your family available free on our Anytime Fitness corporate page (www.facebook.com/anytimefitness) weekdays at 9:30AM EST while providing tons of information on maintain a healthy lifestyle. All workouts are available on-demand under the "videos" tab.
And finally, we ask that you please continue to keep us and other small businesses in mind during this time. Our business, like others, relies entirely on our clients to stay open & support our dedicated staff. Following discussions with our member billing company, we have proactively placed a freeze on all scheduled payments beginning April 4th. Those accounts whose monthly payments were processed in the days following the executive order, prior to the billing company physically being able to apply the freeze, will have the option of a refund (7-10 business days) or an applied credit once the facility is allowed to reopen.

“I heard about Anytime Fitness through a simple Google search, though I chose it because of the staff and the location. I continue to go Anytime Fitness because I can be assured that the facility will always be clean and the associates are always friendly; I’m also confident that every machine will be in working order when I walk in. My goals started at a young age when I made the decision to be the best person I can and to improve my mind/body. Overall, I want to be the best I can in mind, body, and soul. I believe that motivation comes from within and starts with a game plan: writing down and defining your goals. I try to attend the club at least 4 times a week and I stretch at home 5 days a week. One exercise I would recommend to anyone is yoga: Yoga is great for people wanting to stay in shape and gain muscle. My advice to others who are working on themselves would be: Do your mission statement, set a 3-month marker, bring a friend to keep you motivated, and set your phone with songs that will pump you up and boost your mood!”

“I heard about anytime fitness through my nephew who, at the time, had recently become a member. For me, the greatest appeal was 24/7 access, allowing me to come to the gym anytime I liked and not be restricted to a certain widow of time or days of the week. Like many, my goal is to shed a few pounds, though more recently my focus has been muscle toning. I usually attend the gym 5 to 7 days a week, using the treadmills and weight equipment. What has kept me motivated is the results and progress that I have seen.
Jessica has been a great help, instructing me on the various exercise that I need to complete and the time I need to spend in each area of the gym in order to achieve my goals. I’m not a fan of cardio, though I’ve increased my time and I am seeing results on a monthly basis.
My advice to new members would be to not become discouraged during the process. Continue your journey even if you don’t see the desired results immediately. You may have to switch up your routine or try something new. Never be afraid to challenge yourself or to step outside of your comfort zone.”

“I heard about Anytime Fitness through an advertisement and I was one of the first members to join in Manning. I decided to join because of its 24/7 access which works well with my work schedule because of the flexibility. What I like about Anytime Fitness is the variety of machines, the convenience, and the facility is always well kept and clean. Also, I love the awesome staff members and its friendly atmosphere.
My overall goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I’ve always been one to work out, so my goal is very consistent. I celebrate many different occasions, however, I’m a big fan of cruises, so I’m always motivated to workout to look and feel my absolute best while vacationing. I attend Anytime Fitness about five to seven times a week and, due to that, I’m progressing very well. Because of my constant workout lifestyle my strength, speed, and endurance have improved, which contributes to my basketball skills. My motivation comes from seeing results and keeping my body in tip-top shape. My advice to encourage others is to stay focused, make NO excuses, and never give up!”

“I heard about Anytime Fitness through my sister about 2 years ago. I enjoy the people, the environment, and the convenience of being able to go anytime. Everyone is always friendly, and I enjoy the variety of equipment offered. My goal is to lose weight, build muscle, and get into better shape. I’ve been thinking about my goals for about 2 years now. Also, since I am participating in three weddings, I am trying to make healthier lifestyle choices. I attend Anytime Fitness about 4-5 times a week. Working out has also contributed to my hobbies which includes kickball. My biggest motivation is seeing results and being accountable to myself, my mom, and my aunt. Since being here, I have seen some results which keep me consistent with coming back! My favorite exercise is shoulder workouts, but my least favorite exercise is burpees. My advice to encourage others is: Stay true to yourself. Motivation is an emotion and it comes and goes, so you must stay consistent and answer to yourself!”

After suffering from a rare neuroimmune disorder, AF member Kacie B. lost feeling and mobility in her leg. That didn't stop her from coming to Anytime Fitness and working with our coaches to regain strength in her leg. Today, she's able to work out 5-6 times per week, "to keep my leg mobile and remind it what it can do."
