Looking for 2 athletes. One I can train for middle infield and a pitcher that can lead our pitching rotation.

We will play a combination of AAA/Open/Majors 13U and 14U with NCS and Perfect Game

We will practice Tuesday 7:15-9pm (Mansfield) & Thursday 6:30-8:30 (Mesquite)

Tenative Spring Tournament Schedule:

- Feb 28/March 1
- March 21/22 (PG North Texas Super Regional NIT 54/80)
- April 11/12
- April 25/26
- May 2/3 (PG Cinco De Mayo Super NIT 13U 60/90)
- May 23/24
- June 6/7
- June 23-27 (PG Gulf Shores World Series)

Our competitive 13U baseball team is holding private tryouts to add two players to complete our spring roster. We compete at a high level (All open tournaments in spring) and are looking for dedicated athletes ready to develop and contribute right away. Preferred positions are catcher and middle infield, but strong players at any position will be welcomed. Contact Coach J to schedule a private workout.

We are looking for 2 athletes looking for the best overall physical and mental training/coaching in south DFW (Mansfield/Arlington/GP/Midlothian etc)

I put thie below message out back in August, but it still applies for the spring or any season.

The cost for the season is more for spring because its 3 months longer, but the concept is the same. If your coach(s) organization cant be honest and break down where your money is being spent then thats a red flag

***PERSPECTIVE***
When choosing a coach (yes choosing a coach is more important than choosing an organization) to hand your child over to, look at it this way. Is he or she worth the price of admission?
I will use myslef as an example…

I just started a 9U team
- Fall season Aug 10-Nov 14
- 28 total practices (2hrs each)
- 20 total games (90 min each) 5 Tournaments
- Sanction(s) registrations
- Team Insurance
- Baseballs
- Coaching Fee
- $1000 for the season for a family

I (your coach) will train, coach, educate, teach and mentor your child for $20.83 per practice/game. That’s at or slightly above minimum wages

Based on this format, a coach will be with a player a minimum of 56 times in 3 months, 86hrs minimum (in between games on the weekend or out of town tournaments not included).

I (your coach) could possibly be spending more quality time with your child in a 3 month span than you

Ask yourself, am I (your coach) worth $21 every time you drop them off?

Is the knowledge, mental and physical development, conditioning and life lessons worth $21 per session

Hopefully my openness will help others choose wisely

817 Soldiers is known for its discipline, attention to details, defensive excellence and overall development of not only physical talent but also mental development.

We will be holding open practices for the rest of the season for families looking for a new and better environment that cultivates confidence building, discipline, character and intense challenging practices for the ages listed above

817 Soldiers is back being independent but we now have our own cage(s) and outdoor field

Any 817 Soldier will have full access to use it anytime practices arent going on. Just pull up and go get that work in. The field will be dirt and is 90% complete

Please do your due diligence and call any umpire or TD and ask them about 817 teams and see that they will vouch for myself, my coaches and my kids

We will also use Station 63 (old Big League Dreams) for practices (9U-13U) and Driven Sports Complex in Mesquite for 13U. 13U practices will be split; one Mansfield and one Mesquite.

Fees will be between 1500-$1900 with the season running from Mid January- End of June
