This morning, the world lost an incredible woman, and I lost someone who will always hold a special place in my heart.
Jen fought Stage 4 cancer with a strength, courage, and determination that I have never seen in another person. She was, without question, the strongest person I've ever known. Through everything she endured, she never stopped caring about the people she loved. She had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met and was always willing to go above and beyond to help others.
We shared many years together. Like many couples, we had our difficult times and spent some time apart, but I found myself in her good graces once again. She allowed me for the last few months to pick myself up and to help her get things done that she wasn't able to do, once again being there for one another. I was grateful to be there for her. I'm thankful we were able to spend this recent time together.
Jen loved my daughter as if she were her own and did more for her than I could ever put into words. That love and kindness will never be forgotten.
I also want to thank Jen's family for everything they have done not only for her, but for my daughter and me as well. Your love, support, and generosity over the years have meant more than you'll ever know.
I will always be grateful, and I will always love you all.
My heart is broken over what happened. A huge part of my life left this world this morning, and a huge part of me left with her. I will miss her every single day, but I will never forget her strength, her compassion, her generosity, and the love she gave so freely.
Rest peacefully, Jen. Your fight is over. Thank you for everything you did for me, for my daughter, and for everyone whose lives you touched. You will always be loved, and you will never be forgotten. β€οΈ
