My Go-To for Young Hitters! When you want to simplify hitting you have to break it into steps for young ones. Here are 3 steps that can create great habits in your swing!: 1. Load: find yourself in a good pulled back position where you can let the big dawg eat! 2. Heel: step forward and let the whole foot go on the ground; the weight should transfer some but make sure the load/punch still stay back! Fire: LET THE BIG DAWG EAT! Do a freeze at the end so the hitter can control these movements and understand what they just did! Great drill for beginners! Parents come to me all the time and say there kid is dropping their hands! This is a great drill to try with them and hopefully it will help. When doing this drill make sure they are loading with intent to damage! If they look like a robot that’s not how it should be.
