Doers look intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it.

They will be blessed in what they do.

Hearers of the word are like someone that looks at his face in a mirror, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

Go, eat your bread with pleasure, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God has already accepted your works. Let your clothes be white all the time, and never let oil be lacking on your head. Enjoy life with the wife you love all the days of your fleeting life, which has been given to you under the sun, all your fleeting days. For that is your portion in life and in your struggle under the sun. This world wants to keep us busy with fleshly things that prevent us from caring for our spiritual needs.

God rejoiced when you began you spiritual walk, but don't stop there because continuing your walk is as important as starting it.

The road does get tough. Still, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:2-4).

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him" (James 1:12).

So, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9).

"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4).

Christians are not perfect, but they love one another. They pray for one another. They focus on cultivating greater abundance for one another. There is no tribalism or divisive nationalism among them.

Instead of just accepting what is being taught because it comes from someone educated, we must check everything against the absolutes of God's Holy Word

Tragedy and inhumane acts seem to dominate this world. So I understand the tendency to view God in a negative light. However, God's plan includes our prosperity, it gives us hope, and provides for our future.
