Lou Sanders offering Equine Functional Movement & Equine Body Work: restore functional movement and reestablish healthy patterns of movement from a biomechanical and neurological / CNS foundation. A unique combination of body work modalities and ground work help the horse find confidence in his body, dynamic stability and freedom of movement under a rider.
I am Cindy Lou Sanders, go by Lou, and mostly known as Ari’s person. My professional career is diverse, includes becoming a certified equine body worker in 2000, and spans nearly three decades. As a rider, I began as a jumper rider until I found my passion in the nuances of the dance that is dressage.
I am newly returned to central Kansas, retired from training and teaching (I have worked with horses and their riders across the United States from Training to GP) and ready to help you and your horse develop that deep sense of connection that only comes from two bodies moving freely as one in dynamic balance.
For single day trips service area is within 65 miles of Marion, KS. My service area for multiple consecutive days is state wide and including northern OK, eastern, CO, southern NE and western MO.
Email [email protected] to discuss how I can help you and your horse.

"In 1980, my father wrote in his book 'Basic Training of the Young Horse' that many dressage horses are not even able to clear an obedience jump and are never allowed to move freely in nature under a rider," said Ingrid Klimke. "Back then, he already indicated the dangers of too-early specialization, like leg troubles.

"So my family’s approach for all of our horses, no matter which career we have chosen for them, is to do the same versatile basic training in the first years. The more systematically a horse gets strengthened in his musculature and the more carefully he gets suppled in his youth, the stronger he will be to start his specialization after this basic training and this sufficient capability means that the horse will remain healthy despite increasing requirements."
