It’s time! Open mats starting next Monday June 8th!

What a season it’s been. This group showed up every day, put in the work, and built something special together. From the first practice to the final whistle, they bought in, pushed through adversity, and represented Elgin with pride.

This wasn’t just about wins and losses..it was about growth, toughness, and becoming better athletes and people. The standard has been set, and the future is bright for this program.

Elgin Girls Wrestling competed hard at Sectionals in Marysville today.

Reece and Cadence battled through tough brackets to earn 5th place finishes, securing spots as district alternates. Their resilience and determination were on full display.

Hartley Winslow made districts as a freshman, placing 4th and punching her ticket to the next round. An outstanding accomplishment and just the beginning of what’s ahead for her.

This sport brings the highest highs and the toughest lows — and that’s exactly what makes it the greatest sport in the world. The growth, grit, and progress these young women continue to show is something to be proud of, and we’re just getting started.

Reece, Cadence, and Hartley will continue their journey next weekend at the District Tournament at Big Walnut. GO COMETS!!

The Elgin Girls Wrestling team competed today at the Pin-Down Showdown at Delaware Hayes facing some outstanding competition.

🏆 Hallie Winslow earned 1st place with a strong performance.
🥉 Cadence Metzger battled hard to secure 3rd place.

All of our athletes continue to improve and are looking sharp as we head into the postseason. Proud of this group and the work they’re putting in every day.

On Friday, Elgin Girls and Elgin Boys hosted our in-school duals. Great environment, packed gym, and good reps for both programs. On Saturday, our middle school girls competed at Delaware Hayes, where Olive Rhoades and Isadora Phillips both finished 6th. Proud of the work being put in across all levels. Go comets!!

Middle school and high school girls had a weekend full of good competition at the Heart of Ohio! We also celebrated Hallie’s 100th win!! Proud of all you girls. Keep grinding! Final results
