Friday nights in Martinsville are about more than football. 🏈

They’re about the band warming up. Cheerleaders hyping up the crowd from the sidelines. Students and community members filling the stands. Families catching up with old friends. Alumni coming home. An entire community gathering under the lights.

Since 1971, the football field at Martinsville High School has been the backdrop for generations of those memories.

Now, MHS has entered T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition for the chance to bring new life to this longtime Martinsville gathering place, and we need our whole community behind us! 🐾

Today, we are celebrating TWO amazing women who mean so much to MMS Bulldog Nation Cheer Squad 🐾📣

We asked everyone to "wear yellow" today to help brighten your special day and show just how loved and appreciated you both are! 💛 Yellow represents happiness, sunshine, and joy—and that is exactly what you bring to so many people around you.

You are so much more than amazing cheerleading coaches. You are mentors, encouragers, role models, and people our girls know they can count on. The students love you, look up to you, and need you, but we want you to know something else today: **the grown-ups love you and need you too!** ❤️

Your support, encouragement, laughter, advice, and willingness to always step up mean more than you probably realize. You have touched the lives of not only our cheerleaders, but their families and the adults who have the privilege of working alongside you.

So today, **Bulldog Nation is wearing yellow for YOU!** 💛🐾 We hope when you look around and see all that yellow, you see a little piece of the love and appreciation we have for both of you.
