Let’s hear it for the boys! This time… the “boys” are the coaches.
The ones passing down their love for the game;
giving up their evenings and family time to teach, and to build their baseball family.
The ones teaching and fostering grit, determination, and the importance of hard work.
The ones reminding them baseball is hard, that it’s a game of failure, but it’s REALLY fun.
The ones cheering loudest for a play that seems “routine”, but know it’s something their player has been working hard for.
The ones screaming “NO! NO! NO!” or “GO! GO! GO!” and praying the runner hears them correctly.
The ones who seem to never give up faith in their team no matter the score.
As we head into our last weekend of the season, we can’t forget to thank the ones who make it possible for our boys to not only be on the diamond, but improve, and want to continue putting themselves, and their hearts, out there.
