THANK YOU Max Waldbaum!

We want to thank an all-time Jumbo, Max Waldbaum, as he finishes up his career in Medford.

A 2021 grad, Max broke the sophomore scoring record in 2019 with an incredible 68 goals. He finished his career eclipsing the 100 goal mark in just 32 career games.

After an impressive 2-year stint at Jacksonville Men's Lacrosse where he was a two year captain and broke the program’s single season scoring record, Waldbaum returned to Tufts as a coach where he dialed up the offense and EMO units to new heights as the team scored 1,234 goals over three seasons for an average of 18.4 goals/game. In total, Waldbaum won 5 NESCAC titles and 3 National Titles and had a career record of 117-9 in his time in the Brown and Blue.

However, it was his role as Chief Culture Officer that made the biggest impact as he was critical in shaping and building our culture and accountability over the last three seasons.

Kings of the Clock 👑 🕰️

In our eight post season games in 2025, we trailed for just 15 minutes and 54 seconds of the possible 480 game minutes - just 3.3% of the time - a dominant playoff run to our third straight National Title.

On the season, we trailed for only 132 minutes of a possible 1380 minutes across 23 games - for a total of 9.5% of game action.

This is one of the highest honors a student athlete can earn in his collegiate career and we are so proud of these four National Champions on their work on and off the field!

/ Trust the Process: 4 points as a first year ➡️ 105 points as a senior.

Recent graduate Brooks Hauser is the definition of “process driven”

After a freshman year as a reserve midfielder where he scored four points, he took advantage of an opportunity as a sophomore when an opening at attack emerged, and never looked back.

As a sophomore, Hauser scored 78 points on 48 goals and 30 assists. He followed up his junior year with 54 goals and 27 assists - including a 8 point performance in the National Championship game that earned him Most Outstanding Player.

As a senior, he saved his best for last with 105 points on 74 goals and 31 assists and a third straight National Title. Hauser’s 74 goals this year are the fifth most in program history.

So don’t focus on the outcome: trust the process, and when opportunity presents itself, take hold and never look back!

The legacy of 2️⃣8️⃣ in the Brown and Blue

You’ve heard of 22 at ‘Cuse and 1 at Maryland, but did you know there is a tradition just as storied at Tufts: The Number 28.

Since Mark Warner donned the 28 from 2004-2007, every player to wear the number (including Warner) earned All-America honors.

Six straight players, six incredible careers.

🐘Mark Warner ‘07 - 1x All-American and led team in assists and points. The first to create the legacy of 28.

🐘DJ Hessler ‘11 - 3x All-American, 321 career points (program record when he graduated) and 181 assists (still program record) and 2010 National Champion.

🐘Cole Bailey ‘15 - 3x All-American, 312 career points (4th All-Time) and 2x National Champion

🐘Danny Murphy ‘19 - 3x All-American, 290 career points (6th All-Time) and offensive coordinator in 2020-21 that shattered NCAA records

🐘Jack Boyden ‘23 - 2x All-American, 310 career points, program record holder for goals (86), assists (88) and points (157) in a single season.

🐘 Chase Beyer ‘27 - 1x All-American, 87 points in 2026, and 3x National Champion

How lucky are we to have this incredible group of men Don the 2️⃣8️⃣ for us over the last 20+ years?!

After watching jack.regnery score 2 twister goals in ONE Premier Lacrosse League game, you may think that’s just luck, but philosophically speaking, we encourage creativity in the name of effectiveness. Sometimes, shooting overhand is NOT your best option - maybe a twister finish is.

It’s not about flashiness - it’s about finding the best ways to put the ball in the back of the net, and then repping that action out until it looks smooth.

Work until flash becomes fundamental - that’s where the magic happens!
