🚨 I need an honest answer.
The internet keeps giving completely opposite advice. One group says, "Fake it till you make it." Buy the nice suit, get the luxury watch, pull up in a nice car, because apparently nobody wants financial advice from a guy wearing Crocs and driving a 2008 Honda.
Then the other group says, "Look poor till you make it." Drive the Honda, wear the same hoodie for 3 years, invest every dollar, because apparently the guy with the Rolex is broke and the guy wearing Walmart sneakers owns 17 apartment buildings. 😂
The crazy part is that both sides sound right. One side says people do business with people who look successful. The other side says people who look successful are usually making monthly payments.
One side says your image attracts money. The other side says your investments attract money.
Meanwhile, the rest of us are trying to figure out whether buying a $300 pair of shoes is networking or just a poor financial decision.
So let's settle this. If two people earn exactly the same amount of money, but one spends extra money looking successful while the other spends that same money investing in assets, who becomes wealthy faster?
And don't say "both." Pick a side. 😂
👇 Team A: Fake it till you make it
👇 Team B: Look poor till you make it
Tell me why. I'm reading every comment.

Mastering the Art of the First Impression: How to Text a CEO (or Anyone Important)
Ever had the contact of a CEO, founder, or someone you admire… but didn’t know how to send the first message?
You’re not alone.
In today’s world, your first text can either open doors or get ignored instantly. Even talented people lose opportunities simply because they approached the conversation the wrong way.
And I’m not just saying this as a writer or mentor.
I’m saying this as a CEO who receives messages every single day.
Right now, I currently have more than 100 pending chats because many people simply text:
“Hello”
“I’m interested”
“Can I join?”
“Can I take part?”
And then… nothing clear after that.
The truth is, messages like these make it difficult for busy professionals and CEOs to know who is truly serious.
When you run a company, manage teams, handle clients, and solve problems daily, you naturally look for people who communicate with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Your communication style says a lot about your mindset.
Here are 5 powerful steps to send a professional first message that gets attention:
1. Start with Respect
Avoid “Hey” or “Hi.”
Instead say:
“Good morning Mr. Smith,”
or
“Good afternoon Dr. Johnson.”
Professionalism creates a strong first impression.
2. Introduce Yourself Clearly
Keep it short and direct.
“My name is Caleb, and I’m the founder of KDB Empire.”
One sentence is enough.
3. Mention How You Got Their Contact
This builds trust immediately.
Example:
“I got your contact from John Doe,”
or
“I found your profile through LinkedIn.”
4. Appreciate Their Work
People respond better when they feel genuinely respected.
Mention something specific about their work, company, or impact.
Make it sincere.
5. State Your Purpose Clearly
Be direct.
Whether you want mentorship, partnership, a job opportunity, or advice, say it confidently and professionally.
Example:
“I would love the opportunity to learn from your experience and explore ways I can contribute value.”
Finally, end with a simple call to action:
“I look forward to hearing from you.”
or
“Please let me know if a brief conversation would be possible.”
Remember this:
Your first message is your digital handshake.
Make it respectful.
Make it intentional.
Make it memorable.
Because sometimes, opportunities are not lost because you lacked talent…
They are lost because of poor communication.
