It’s easy to start accidentally spinning out into diet culture territory and start to have intrusive thoughts that could easily be called disordered eating patterns. The scary part is — THIS IS COMMON IN MOST OF THE FITNESS INDUSTRY.
Know what else is getting more common? Anti-diet acolytes who all but encourage people to indulge literally every whim. I’m sure it’s unintentional, but still harmful.
Know what actually works? Doing a quick check in with yourself about how the food you’re considering will make your body feel and making an informed decision from there.
Want fried things or delicious sugary treats? Who doesn’t! There’s always a time and a place. Think ahead, reserve judgment, and enjoy your life.
Diet culture is the water we swim in, the air we breathe, etc. Does it feel finding balance is hard to do? If so, try the tip I just gave you.
