My favorite scripture passage is Romans 12:1-3,

"Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. God rarely gives people an assignment when they've reached a mountain peak. It's often in a valley where it's muddy and dark.

He told me about Modest Movement Ministry when I was going through a nasty separation alone in Nashville, 11 years ago.

Fearing God isn't being afraid; it's being reverent, respectful, in awe of His goodness and justice.

This respect for God should cause us to let go of immodest and lustful behavior and do what is pleasing to Him.

Are you showing them what a Christian woman should look like? Are you showing them the difference between light and darkness?

Some might think looking just like them is wise, but only in your own eyes...showing them what being set apart is will shine the light they need to see.

There's no need to compromise when it's hot, but I understand why some women shed layers to what's comfortable for them 🥵

And please don't wear black in this heat like I did, lol. Black traps heat for some scientific reason.

P.S. modest fashion can be subjective. Another woman may not be comfortable with shoulders out. That doesn't mean she's holier. It means she's not comfortable with it & that's okay 👌🏽

Many have heard preachers preach without grace on this topic, and have caused women to feel shame.

They've also experienced stereotypes about their body type when it wasn't in their control.

Ushers have approached them with judgment and criticism.

Especially when it's humid outside, you want something more breathable.
