A health care not-for-profit, we believe in caring for one another as we’d all like to be cared for. Church Health provides quality, affordable healthcare for working, uninsured people and their families.

Thanks to a broad base of financial support from the faith community, and the volunteer help of doctors, nurses, dentists and others, Church Health has grown to become the largest faith-based healthcare organization of its type in the country. Currently, we care for more than 58,000 patients of record without relying on government funding. Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on income. The average visit costs about $25.

Join us tonight, December 6th at 6 pm at Crosstown Concourse for The Mystic Live at The Green Room.

So, what is The Mystic? The Mystic is a catalyst; through music, story, silence and dialogue, we hope to strengthen our attachment to hopes and dreams. In the mystic, diversity is a prerequisite for all creativity, which is why Crosstown Concourse is the perfect home. In The Mystic, the world is far-better served by different beliefs than it could ever be if limited by rigid uniformity. And if this doesn’t rock your gypsy soul, the goal of The Mystic is to not feel better but get better at feeling.

The Mystic is hosted by a rotating panel including Rabbi Micah Greenstein, Dr. Scott Morris, Rev. Joshua Henry Narcisse, Dr. Rev. Lillian Lammers and Kirk Whalum. All guests are welcome to linger for conversation following our program.

We hope to see you there! Reserve your spot for FREE here: churchhealth.org/themystic

Church Health opened its doors 35 years ago at a time when an AIDS diagnosis was almost a death sentence. On this World AIDS Day, Dr. Scott Morris reflects on his first patient living with AIDS.

“Knowing he was living with AIDS, he was always happy. It concerned me he might not understand his illness. I asked him about it and he said ‘I understand my problem, but I know God loves me.’ I hope we can all live our lives knowing God loves us.”

AIDS related deaths may be down 68 percent from its two million peak in 2004, but the fight is far from over to stopping this epidemic. There are more options than ever to stay healthy and prevent HIV. Take the first steps and get tested. Find free and low-cost HIV testing near you at: https://www.greaterthan.org/find-services/?fbclid=IwAR1N73USuiOXP5xOcreUchxrVQooJGLNnorwn4vDWd0pHMKk7WLcFnYmzP0

Meet Dr. Leasy, a former Church Health Scholar

Hear from Dr. Menachem Leasy on how the Church Health Scholars program propelled his career in medicine. He was one of our clinic assistant scholars as part of the 2003 cohort group. Throughout his time with us, he worked alongside our providers on our clinic floors and built partnerships with volunteers to compassionately tackle some of the most pressing community health issues. This experience helped Dr. Leasy on his journey to become a family medicine physician and a champion for health equity.
