Will is today's St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient of the day!

From volunteering at past tournaments, playing with his brother and watching golf on TV with his family, golf is a big part of St. Jude patient Will’s life. For years, his parents tried to synch up his checkup visits to St. Jude to coincide with the PGA TOUR stop in Memphis so he could volunteer on the course. This year they made that happen.

But the FedEx St. Jude Championship is even more meaningful now because the last day of the tournament marks the beginning of Will’s last week as an active St. Jude patient. Keep an eye out for Will on the 18th green serving as an honorary pin flag caddy today!

Riley is today's St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient of the day!

After he was found to have acute lymphoblastic leukemia at just 19 months old, little Riley underwent two-and-a-half years of chemotherapy at St. Jude.
But to look at the 5-year-old now – jumping on the trampoline, playing with his dinosaurs, climbing a tree or chasing after a frog – you might never guess.

At this year’s championship, Riley will be honored as the Purple Eagle patient, a program in which a plane features the name of the child or grandchild of a FedEx team member. Congrats, Riley!

Star of the week | Riley | FedEx St. Jude Championship

A little feel good Friday for your timeline ...

On the PGA TOUR, champions are usually crowded on Sundays. Here in Memphis, our true champion is honored on Wednesday. The Purple Eagle Ceremony has been a staple at the PGA TOUR stop in Memphis since 2011.

FedEx has ensured this tradition continues to honor a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient every year at our championship. This year's recipient is Riley and this is his story. ❤️

Courtney is today's St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient of the day!

At only two months old she started treatment at St. Jude, which was not just a healing place for Courtney, but where she learned to read as she struggled with the cognitive side effects of her disease. Now, she is thriving as an Ivy League student and enjoys singing, acting and public speaking.
